Found in the deep waters of the Eastern Pacific. They feed on marine detritus and are most often sighted around whale-falls.
They are frequently preyed upon by Abyssal Eurypterids and cephalopods, including Giant Squids. They are edible to humans as well and taste like a combination of snow crab and shrimp.
