Alliance of Planets

Ahamo is a the moon of the planet Na Grotta, orbiting the star Setts. It is the homeworld of the Symphoniphores and Lumbrican Terranneloids. Lush and tropical with clear warm seas, many sandy beaches, coral atolls and shallow seagrass meadows.

Geography

Ahamo has only a single continent, comprised of two landmasses, known as The Expanse. It is a flat almost featureless area of grasslands punctuated by creeks and streams. The rest of the planet's land is comprised of tropical archipelagoes, atolls, and isolated islands. Volcanic islands are common, being the only real mountains on the entire surface.

Ahamoan Biota

Ahamo experienced a devastating mass extinction 32 million years ago wiping out nearly all species except for a handful of soft-bodied marine creatures.

Sapient Races

  • Lumbrican Terranneloid
  • Symphoniphore

Terrestrial Wildlife

  • Subterranean Grog - the subterranean Grog is the last member of the lineage of pseudo-vertebrates that dominated Ahamo before the extinction. It is a cat-sized reptilian creature that spends its entire life underground feeding on roots, tubers and xenoinsects.
  • Sand Crawler Polyp - A specialized form of small polyp adapted for rudimentary terrestrial locomotion, slowly crawling along beaches to scavenge from corpses washed ashore.

Oceanic Wildlife

  • Gulper
  • Bubbling Wave-drifter
  • Mile-long Wave-drifter
  • Ocean Corn - The most common organism on the planet. Some stretches of sea are entirely covered in these colonial zooids. They are the base of the foodchain for many creatures.
  • Sea Colonial

Polyps - Polyps are colonial, siphonophore-like organisms that uses special zooids capable of jet propulsion, and hinge-like zooids at the front of the animal filled with modified stinging cells that function like jaws. This allows Polyps to occupy fish-like niches and take fish-like appearances

  • Angelfish Polyps
  • Anglerfish Polyps
  • Barracuda Polyps
  • Bass Polyps
  • Basslet Polyps
