The property encompasses 25,784 acres of pastures and wildlife habitats, as well as undeveloped wild land, and the Wildlife Conservation Center. thee is also a college campus, high school and wildlife hospital on the grounds

The Institute is the largest wildlife conservation center in North America and is open between the months of May and October.

Animals and Exhibits

Most of the Institute's Campus is made up of the various animal habitats, especially the Mammoth Steppe Conservation Area, encompassing over 20,000 acres. It is home to the Institute's Mammoth herd as well as many other hoofed animals that would have occupied Pleistocene Beringia.
