Allison Mendoza

Exposed to a strange mutagenic ooze while on a school field alongside four other students, Allison Mendoza was mutated from a normal high senior into a mutant anthropomorphic variant of a deadly Jurassic-era predator, Ceratosaurus. taken in by DeinonyCorp scientist Zet Langston to try and reverse the mutation. However the treatment went wrong and the mutation excelerated allowing her to shift not only from human to mutated form, but to shift into a full-sized Ceratosaur. After a mutated sea cucumber attacked the DeinonyCorps building, Allison and her classmates rushed to help, protecting the civilians in and around the building, forming a team they were able to fend of the terrorizing echinoderm and seal it away in DeinonyCorps. Underground Biodome. Their work did not go unnoticed, as CEO Victor Veloci was quite impressed by their show of strength and teamwork,, and concerned by the prospect of the primordial ooze creating more powerful mutants he elected to form the DinoForce to combat and contain these dangers and to otherwise protect the city of Orca Point from an ever more dangerous world. Allison and her team would be the primary members of this new team, so he allowed them to stay at the HQ and would help her learn to control her newfound power.

Allison was born in Orca Point, and raised there her entire life, her family had a small little house on the coast were a young Allison developed a love for the sea and all of it’s creatures she would often play in and around the tide pools that dotted the rocky shore. When she turned ten years old, her parents had given her a huge 100 gallon aquarium. A gift she was ecstatic to receive, as now she could bring the creatures she adored into her bedroom. The rest of the day Allison scoured the pools that by now she knew like the back of her hand with a huge bucket looking for the best specimens to display. She came back with a variety of sea stars, urchins, sea cucumbers, anemones, shrimps and fish that would call the tank home. Starting her obsession with aquarium-keeping. Soon after she rescued a betta fish that had been neglected by his owners, and living in a filthy flower vase, she bought a new 20 gallon aquarium for the fish and nursed him back to health, Her collection steadily grew as she added Neon Tetras, Native Sunfishes and Clownfish to her collection.

Though when she was 13 Allison's mother Christina, a well-known fashion model had decided to move the family into the city so she could be closer to her job. However the new space would not have enough room for all her creatures which forced her to rehome many of them. Allison would somewhat resent her mother for this for the next few years.

Thankfully, she eventually forgave her mother, but the two had never been especially close afterwards

Mutation

One day while on a school field trip to the Orca Point Tidepools, Allison was exposed to some Primordial Ooze, which immediately began to edit her DNA, causing her to mutate into a Ceratosaurus, starting with her head which she caught changing in her bedside mirror that night.

Personality

Allison is a chronic over-achiever, often stressing about her grades and making a great effort to impress anyone who could give her a future career opportunity. She is extremely organized (a little OCD even) and incredibly smart, especially in the field of Marine Biology.

She is also somewhat rigid in her thinking and quick to discredit ideas that don’t follow her line of thought. She frequently gets annoyed at the sillier members of the team (Mostly Zephyr and Kevin), and can often come across as mean or rude when it isn’t intentional.

Allison is interested in science, particularly Marine Biology, which she has become somewhat of an expert in. Spending much of her free time, scouring her town’s many tide pools, maintaining her variety of home aquariums, and even volunteering at Orca Point Aquarium. She also enjoys watersports like fishing, SCUBA and surfing, and has spent countless days wading through tidepools and wetlands. She is also a skilled medic. Despite this, she sometimes lacks basic common sense, such not knowing how to cook anything and having the tech skills only marginally better than that of my 90-year old grandma..

Allison’s dinosaur form was originally Allosaurus. but it was changed to be a Ceratosaurus
Allison has a large collection of different fish, both saltwater and freshwater, she has a large collection of native creatures that she's found among the tide pools.
