The Ammerian Empire, also known as the First Children of Ammeria, was a galactic civilisation that inhabited the Ammeria region of the Via Lacrimosa Galaxy for 15 million years. They are the first known record of a species achieving galactic superpower status in the galaxy. Among their many inventions and achievements, they ultimately met their demise during the Extinction War in 485 Million BCE.
Overview
The Empire was founded on the values of peace and prosperity. They had little respect for democracy and individual rights. The only people considered to have any important and influence were the monarch's staff members, loyalists and the Prince or Princess themselves.
To the thousands of other infant civilisations that inhabited the galaxy, they were worshipped almost like gods. They were described as the xenophilic giants.
History
The founders were members of the species, Isheld – the same as their home planet's name. They were noble warriors, only fighting when they came under attack. Sometime in 500 Million BCE, they banded together and broke free of the icy crust of their home world. Throughout their solar system, they built a network of colonies, alongside mining stations on asteroids and comets to harvest their precious metals and water.
A day known colloquially as Ran'Ia Day (pronounced: Ran-Eye-A) was the creation of the Ammerian Empire. While limited to their own solar system for a short time, they rapidly developed exciting new technologies in propulsion, including the now-infamous Warp and Wormhole drives. Colonisation of the galaxy began at a rapid pace, before slowing down for a period of time, due to fears of the galactic economy.
