This hopeful story came to an abrupt and shocking end when the final push of the [[Void]] through the [[Szalana Wormhole]] resulted in the Void's forces razing the surface of the planet, wiping out the entire population and reducing the surface to blasted wastes. While the core worlds were saved when the Void was crippled in the [[Battle of the Colony]] in 150 AC at the close of the war, Anamol still remains empty.
