Arenvar is a Void Island located within the Cairn of Light Void Archipelago. It is the third, formerly fourth, world from it's local star, Aine's Dawn. It was a major world in the Greater Solar Union before it regionally collapsed, as well as one of the worlds that formed the Stjarna Union, which went on to become one of the founding states of the Cosmic Union, of which it is a member.
It holds the distinction of being one of the first terraforming projects undertaken by the Kin, though it wasn't the first one they completed within their own Archipelago, following Valkrave. Known as a 'Red World' before it was terraformed, it was considered to be a major symbol in early Kin culture, so much so that it was subject to specialized floral-engineering projects to ensure that much of it's plant-life would grow red, to maintain it's status as a red world. Recovered Data Packets from the Void Age suggest that much of the Solar Union's mastery for terraforming worlds at a rapid pace came from the lessons they learned in transforming Arenvar, as it was a difficult project that to many outside Kinde, was not worth the effort invoked.
As one of the Shallow Worlds of the Cairn of Light, it has a long, complex, and interconnected history with much of the system. It survived the Technopocalypse, established rudimentary Voidsea travel, established a foothold within the Realmlands, and remade contact with Verdrasil. It's people learned from the Broadwave, and became practitioners of Taekni. It has survived many conflicts, both internal and external, and come out stronger as a result.
Internally, the history of Arenvar was not as peaceful or egalitarian as it's fellow Shallow Worlds - The Lost Age was filled with strife, internal corruption, and political plays that pitted various groups against one another for the benefit of a small number of elites. It was not until the Quartet Conflict, and the invasion of the Vystallan Mechatar, lead to them by the Titanic States of Saturn, and the Elvendritch of the Twilight Imperium, as well as the activities from a group that would be known as the Crimson Beacon, would end this. This era, known as the Deception, still casts a shadow over the world to this day.
