Appearance
Askr stands 16'2", his body covered in a dark ashy gray with a lighter gray underbelly and speckled patches of pale gray scattered along his sides. A deep red stripe runs the length of his spine, standing out against his muted tones. His crests are only slightly larger than those of a typical Saurophaganax, giving him a subtly more pronounced profile. His amber eyes are sharp and bright, with a scar cutting across his left one. Most of his scars cluster along his legs, with fewer across his torso, and he’s missing a finger on his left hand—taken by his doctor—adding to his rugged, worn appearance.
Personality
Askr is narcissistic and egotistical, driven by an inflated sense of self-importance and a constant need to show off. He’s self-centered and holds prejudiced views toward other species—especially those small—and his rebellious streak only amplifies his difficult personality. Despite all this, he isn’t hostile toward the queer community, and he has a genuine fondness for animals that offers a rare softer edge to his otherwise abrasive nature.
Background
Askr grew up as a showpiece for his family’s wealth, paraded through glittering galas and social events before he was old enough to understand any of it. Those parties were where he first tasted alcohol, and the less glamorous gatherings his parents frequented—thanks to their shady business dealings—exposed him to far worse. At one underground trade meet, he tried miovex for the first time, a moment that spiraled into a habit he’s kept at three doses a day ever since.
His teenage years were a blur of forged IDs, slipping into bars he had no business being in, and picking fights with anyone who looked at him wrong. One of those brawls turned into a long-standing rivalry that finally boiled over three years later, when Askr—high and reckless—broke into the rival’s home and killed him.
Years passed before a mutual acquaintance introduced him to PaleoShield. Askr brushed off the offer for nearly a year, uninterested in playing hero. But when that friend bragged about taking down a drug cartel on a mission, Askr’s ego couldn’t resist. With a smug “I could do that,” he signed on a month later, joining not out of duty, but to prove he could outshine everyone else.
