The Borealis Cluster is *not* a separate entity from the Laniakea. Rather, it is a nickname/term given to a large area for the sake of simplification and ease.

It is likely that this article will be dropped in the near future.

Description

The Borealis Cluster is a very common term (Like Eurasia to Africa and Asia on Earth) given to a mixture of galactic superclusters, for the sake of simplification. Much of the Borealis Cluster is made up of the Laniakea Supercluster. The rest of the Borealis Cluster resides in the Shapely and Coma superclusters, which makes The Borealis Cluster the biggest classified and agreed-upon mass of galaxies.

Composite Bodies

  • Pavo-Indus Supercluster
  • Hydra-Centaurus Supercluster
  • Centaurus Supercluster
  • Hydra Supercluster
  • Coma Supercluster

Laniakea

Laniakea makes up about 60% of the body. However the term "Laniakea" is dated, as to is simply too large to be useful in the context of civilization, yet too small to be useful in the context of the local universe, hence the Borealis Cluster being the preferred term.

Neighboring Bodies

  • 7-L Cluster (Formerly Ophiuchus Cluster)
  • Perseus-Pisces Supercluster (Herschel Space)
  • Salis Supercluster (Formerly Shapley and Hercules)
  • Sculptor Superclusters
