Confederacy of Borealis
The Confederacy of Borealis, (often abbreviated as CoB, and mainly called The Confederacy or just Confederacy) is a military alliance, which is located in the western sections of the Borealis Cluster. The Confederacy is mostly known for its sheer and brute strength, and its strong and unbreaking bond.
The Confederacy is built of many medium-class nations and many human centrals. The medium-class nations are home to alien populations and have joined The Confederacy during The War for All.
The Confederacy is filled to the brim with defense, military, and brute strength. Many call The Confederacy 'The spearhead of the Borealis' because of its mighty fleets.
With a grand size of 100,000 galaxies under its belt, The Confederacy is the largest entity in the Borealis Cluster. This makes The Confederacy very highly known, and it has resulted in a countless amount of sub-galactic states joining over the years.
Government
The Confederacy is thinly connected to almost all other human and alien worlds. This is likely a result of its impressive size and strength. Many of its travels are largely achieved with FTL wormhole transmission links and with routine checkups on the many states located within the Confederacy.
The Confederacy, being an alliance, is made up of many nations. The most notable is The Federations of United Star Systems, is a Human-controlled nation, with its capital being located at Earth.
The current advisor and leader of The Confederacy, Franklin Norn, is currently trying to aim for more trade with other nations and to improve relationships with the Alliance of Five.
History
The Confederacy's Inception
After the fall of The URSS, The Confederacy's government was the only thing that kept the worlds of humanity somewhat connected and at peace. The first Confederate president, Andrea Lomir, made an impassioned speech, imploring for the increasing living standards not just on Earth but on the widespread human colony worlds. She also encouraged trade with local alien empires, more time allocated to scientific research and more.
After the Eastern Galactic Rebellions, humanity realized that with the distance between worlds and the limited range of the Warp Drive, then the only form of FTL, forming something akin to either the USSR or USA government (like the URSS) would be impractical. They had learned that the hard way, during the many rebellions of the outer colony worlds. Many representatives gathered together on Terrasphere Alpha, one of humanity's oldest space-based orbiting biospheres, in 2991 to try and devise a way to make a government that would both unite humanity and their worlds, and give them the freedom that had been long fought for. After months of debate, the Treaty of Terrasphere Alpha was drafted and the Confederacy was born.
Third Age
The CoB's initial start into the governance of the former worlds of the URSS was difficult. only three years after its formation the Confederacy had to put the planet Hercules on lockdown due to a civil war that had broken out on the planet. Many of the colony worlds involved in the rebellions were hesitant to be ruled from a central world again. To assuage fears, Andrea Lomir went on her first goodwill tour, helping to rebuild many of the cities and donating a lot of her salary for the use of rebuilding and speaking to the colonists. She also began to set up offices of government in many major human cities. As time went on, the actions of Lomir and her successors began to put the fears of the colonists to rest and some even became staunch supporters of the Confederacy. The support for the Confederacy was only enforced when independent human interstellar governments such as the Thulcandran Confederacy were formed within Confederacy space. The Confederacy was involved mostly in expanding territory throughout the Milky Way and the nearby dwarf galaxies.
Halfway through the Third Age, the Confederacy decided to attempt to consolidate and heavily backup all knowledge within its borders. They selected a core world named New Alexandria in honor of Earth's old city and library, terraformed it and began constructing a massive planetwide physical and digital library. The branches of the Alexandrian Library began to interweave and formed the Alexandrian Network or A-Net.
When the Intergalactic Confederacy was formed in 8017 CE, the Sol System was one of the founding member systems.
However, the Confederacy wasn't completely at peace during this time. Many small wars between its member states occurred, such as the Vanir-Aesir War, which only ended due in part to a trade embargo placed on the participating nation-states by the Confederacy. Near the end of the Third Age, the Confederacy had been involved in two galactic wars
Fourth Age
Near the beginning of the Fourth Age, the Confederacy gained more space by the joining of their galaxy with that of the Orion Dwarf Galaxy and Triangulum. The Confederacy, Novum Imperium Rōmānum and Glitter Territories joined together, still carrying the Confederacy's name. Colonies sprang up in each galaxy through many galaxy species inter-exchange programs.
With the discovery of the Wormhole Drive at the end of the Third Age, the Confederacy began to vastly expand its border as well as human colonists who didn't want to be part of the Confederacy at that time.
Split

Rebirth
After the split, the Confederacy was smaller than before but still a major power within the area surrounding Sol as well as most of. The powers that were in control took a look at the Articles of Confederacy in 21000 and decided to put the original intentions back into place.
With power in the central government becoming decentralized again, the first government to rejoin was the Thulcandran Federation, which had distanced itself from the fighting.
With the Federation, nearly half of the worlds that had split decided to begin talks with the Confederacy in regards to becoming members and/or close allies. Over the next hundred years, world after the world began to rejoin, putting old past wounds aside.
The government also admitted their many mistakes and released previously classified documents that showed some of the Confederacy's more heinous war crimes during the Split. The government made formal apologies to everyone harmed and made reparations as needed.
Fifth Age
At the dawn on the Fifth age, at 100000 CE, The Confederacy decided that it was best to keep expanding its territory and raise the bar on technology and military. This not only helped many members of The Confederacy,+
Old Information

The Confederacy was formerly called the Confederacy of Humanity, as a result of the large human presence in the alliance. However, during the War for All, many nations joined for protection. In time, many alien nations complained on the human-centricity of the name, and it got re-named to the Confederacy of Borealis in 189000 CE.
