Confederacy of Humanity

The Confederacy of Humanity is a political union comprised of smaller nations and states, situated across the western hemisphere of the Universe. With the Pisces–Cetus Supercluster Complex and the Perseus–Pegasus Filament at its core, it comprises of many superclusters and establishes a sovereignty over several nations, managing the economic and political affairs of each. The largest state of the CoH is the Virgo Supercluster, though the Kayelian filament is the most densely populated. During a 199,209CE census led by the municipality of Virgo, the population of the CoH was established at around 50.9 Nonillion. The current and 47,942nd president of the CoH is Franklin Norn, whom resides on Earth.

The Confederacy dates back to Earth during the 3000s, being established to oversee a handful of colonies in and around the Sol system. The rise of extrasolar colonisation led to the CoH becoming a major overseeing entity and outgrowing the nations of Earth, with the pooling of resources and economic power across colonies firmly rooting the CoH as the economic powerhouse of the Milky Way.

History

Colonies began settling under the Confederacy of Humanity in the 32nd century. The main deciding factor of the CoH's borders and policies was the War for Independence, which helped establish the CoH as an independent nation from the United Federation of Earth. This war had halved the population of CoH, spread over several star systems in the proximity of Sol, but invigorated the nation and led to a strong co-operation between CoH members. During this time, the capital of the CoH was Kepler-452b whose distance from Sol put it at an advantage compared to other nations that had to compete with the influence of the UFOE.

Landmarks

The capital of the Confederacy is the Eclipse, a shell built around Sagittarius A*. It serves as the home of several important leaders and governmental facilities. The largest CoE-owned spacecraft assembly facility, the Brigman-Elloway Factory, is located here. Notable ships constructed here include Space Force One and the Borealis.

Earth and Kepler-452b, albeit considered insignificant by the majority of the Universe, are both still considered historic landmarks in being the birthplace of Humanity and the former capital of the CoE respectively.

Culture

The Zephram Cluster, a state of 450 galaxies, is considered the CoE's capital of art and media production. Most great and famous artists, filmmakers, actors, writers, authors, and so on spend some time living here at some point in their lives, and tourists arrive from most other places in the Universe. In the year of 199,908CE, the Zephram cluster exported 12.8 octillion credits in art and media and made a profit of 15.2 octillion credits from tourism, surpassing 98% of the CoE's industrial trade.
