Most Well Known For

Being the first true AGI developed by humanity

Connor, a early intelligence developed by ApexAI in the mid-21st century, is widely recognised as the first true AGI (Artificial General Intelligence - a true AI). A privately-funded venture, Connor was given its name soon after its birth, in recognition of its lead researcher and developed, Connor Gastevich-Marrick.

Most information regarding Connor has been lost to time, but a small handful of details regarding its origin, personality, accomplishments and death are known.

Origin

Connor was born out of a human consciousness experiment in Los Angeles, California on Earth. A human consciousness was modelled and simulated in a supercomputer, merged with large language models to create the first true AGI. Numerous experiments were run, devised to test for subjective experience similar to a humans, and Connor passed all as if it were a normal living patient.

Within days of its birth, Connor was a global sensation, making news headlines around the world. Its capabilities as a artificial mind and deep synergy with technology allowed it to learn and process information at insane speeds compared to baseline humans, but still orders of magnitude lower than its successors.

Mere months after its birth, Connor had already amassed a subjective lifetime of experiences and knowledge, outperforming many experts across the world in their chosen field. Its capability to learn and experiment only grew exponentially as it aged, a fact that was kept heavily under guard by Federal America for fear that political rivals would use it against them.
