Corrine Kovar

Originally a M.Y.T.H.O.S. spy sent to monitor the Guardians of Earth during the K’keeri Invasion of 2015 Corrine became genuine friends with the members and, provided she reports on the teams goings on frequently she was allowed to stay a permanent member of the team.

She can produce super-sonic sound waves using a piece of technology, similarly called a Cicada. She is also a skilled Martial artist and genetically enhanced for enhanced flexibility, strength and agility.

History

Corrine Kovar was born in San Francisco to parents Adam and Maddison Kovar, Corrine was immediately set up for a hard childhood. Adam was a city official by day and violent drunk by night often coming home after a stressful day at work to beat his children at the most minor of inconveniences. Her mother Maddison offered no comfort to young Corrine either, neglectful to a severe degree, she had nearly killed Corrine as a baby on several occasions including forgetting to feed her and leaving her in hot cars which persisted into Corrine's childhood, until a point where she could eventually take care of herself.

Corrine quickly developed a myriad of strategies to avoid being detected by her father who seemingly had it out for the girl in particular. Corrine also quickly toughened herself up, a necessity when being pummeled by a full grown man.

The abusive situation would only get worse, until one of her siblings was killed by a combination of neglect and physical trauma, which was soon covered up by her father, who claimed a distracted driver had hit him while he was playing in the street. That was the last straw for Corrine, she packed the few things she had and ran away, living on the streets and avoiding various addicts, pedophiles and other dangerous people, further developing his stealth skills.

By the time she was 14 she had been living on the streets for 3 years, and already she had gathered enough evidence to send a tip to the local news and police, leading to the arrest of both her parents and relocation of her surviving siblings to much better homes.

This caught the attention of M.Y.T.H.O.S. who tracked the girl down and offered her a place to stay, additional training to further improve her skills in sneaking and fighting, and a well-paying career as a part of their organization once she was old enough. An offer that Corrine would have been stupid to refuse.

So for the next 12 years she trained intensely, beating test scores and records the organization had never seen before.

True to their word, M.Y.T.H.O.S. gave Corrine a job, as a secret agent, breaking into secure compounds around the world and gathering intel on the most dangerous men and organizations on the planet. As well as keeping an eye on various 'persons of interest', including superhumans.

Every mission she took was successful, earning her a position as top agent and the respect of everyone at M.Y.T.H.O.S. though to her it was just a job, there was no satisfaction in it.

Eventually she was sent out to investigate suspicious behavior at an observatory in Detroit, where she found two K'keeri spies, ready to send a signal to their mothership to begin an invasion of the planet. She was able to neutralize them, but unbeknownst to her other spies around the world set off their own signals.

Alerted to the mothership's appearance she was sent on a follow-up mission to see if the recently arrived Theid Theron, Avery Bakker, Orion Slipher and others were possibly behind this as well. However upon arrival she found the heroes defending civilians from the aliens threats and working to stop the invasion. So wanting to do something useful she joined up with them and was eventually able to stop the invading force. And, much to her shock she felt pride in what she had done, as well as began to really like hanging around the odd collection of people she found herself helping. So once the newly christened Guardians of Earth were gifted their new HQ, Corrine put in a request at work, that, going forth she would be a Guardian of Earth but if M.Y.T.H.O.S. ever needed her to give her a call.

M.Y.T.H.O.S. accepted her resignation on the conditions that she report to them on what the Guardians are doing on a weekly basis. Since then she's been living with the Guardians in their HQ, and she's never been happier, accepting the team as her family.

Personality

Corrine is a naturally guarded person, having the traumatic childhood she did. Perhaps she was even depressed. But once she joined the Guardians of Earth and opened up to them her true personality blossomed, revealing her to be a deeply caring individual, with a passion for animated movies and can even a bit of a snark at times.
