Crepuscula

Crepuscula is the largest and only moon of the gas giant Noctura. It is located 72 light-years from earth and is the homeworld of the Crepusculans. It is one of the few moons that contains sapient life.

History

The formation of the moon and origin of life on the moon is still unknown. Being a moon, Crepuscula lacks a lot of the volcanic and tectonic activity that planets have, and thus it is only has three continents that are relatively close together. The moon's only sapient race; the Crepusculans evolved around 1,000,000 BCE.

Geography & Climate

Geography

Crepuscula is covered primarily in large rolling hills, though plateaus are also present. The planet is fairly temperate, but lacks year-round ice at the poles. The climate combined with the topography means there is a lot of swampland and bogs in the areas between hills.

Climate

Crepuscula is a relatively temperate moon, with frequent precipitation. Most mainland areas on the moon are covered in clouds the majority of the time.

Crepusculans

The Crepusculans are the moon's sole sapient species. They are humanoid in appearance, but evolved from reptilian-like ancestors. They are an interstellar species, but were ruled by a royal dynasty up until relatively recently, when the Marshal of the Crepusculan military Murdacha Gustavsa overthrew and killed them, declaring herself president for life.
