The Democratic Commonwealth of Aurora is a superpower occpuying a large portion of the Tarmalyula Galaxy, and beyond.
History
The DCA was founded on the 17th of March, 35 103, from the refugee humans fleeing from Via Aylathiya. They gradually evolved and adjusted to the conditions on the surface of their capital planet, which was slightly different from the ideal human planet.
When the original humans arrived on Aurora, a lot died out due to the hostility of the planet. But a few survived, and reproduced. Their offspring, and their offspring's offspring, had slightly changed to accomadate the new environmental parameteres. And so, the Auroran Humans where born.
Unforntunately, they slowly regressed into a medieval-type lifestyle, forgetting the knowledge of their ancestors and believing in a myrad of gods and deities. Over the course of a few thousand years, they regained the knownledge of the atom, germs, chemical and nuclear propulsion. But even when they managed to spread out into the Auroran Star System, they were still divided. The Borean Kingdoms cut themselves off from the rest of the system and settled Borealis, as did the Australis Commonwealth, but with Australis. Finally, when the greatest minds of the system combined and produced the FTL engine, that was when the species-wide goverment came into place, and the Democratic Commonwealth of Aurora was born
Structure
The structure of the DCA is very gender-orientated, but equal (for most people). For example, a male can hold the masculine position of government, but a female cannot. However, a female can hold the feminine position of government, but a male cannot.
As a sad fact of life, if one is not male or female, one is ostrasized from society and cannot hold any positions of power. This means that the LGBTQIA+ community in the DCA is very small, and is hardly worth mentioning, as any potential member usually undegoes surgery to change their gender to either male or female.
The structure of the Commonwealth is as follows, from the position of most power to least:
- Prime Minister (Male/Female)
- World MInister (Male/Female)
- Regional Minister (Male/Female)
There are three levels of government, Federal, World and Regional. Each has power over its asigned area. For example, the Region of Otockami has power over their region, but nothing more.
Major Worlds
The DCA isn't very planet-orientated. it used them at first, but now has abandoned and/or shut down 85% of its planetside colonies. However, it has many orbital rings and habitable megastructures that amount for most of its population.
However, it has kept some of its most valuable worlds for nostalgia or/and they were to important to relocate. They are listed below.

Location
The DCA is located around and in the Tarmalyula Northern Stream, in the Tarmalyula Galaxy. They do have territory in the Remone Arm and the Yugoska Arm as well, but not as extensively as the Northern Stream of Stars.
They control 68 billion stars in the galaxy, a large amount for such a internal-development focusing nation.
