Denisovan

Denisovans also referred to as Denisova are a species of Human originating from Earth. They evolved during the lower Pleistocene, coexisting with the other human species, such as Neanderthals and Homo sapiens proper, across Asia and even interbreeding with them.

History

The Denisovans were the first species of human to develop an advanced system of agriculture. Leading to advanced tools and technology. They were quite careful and cognizant about the environment around them, doing their best to avoid altering the natural landscapes around them.

Denisovans interbred somewhat regularly with the other human species they met, Humans, Neanderthals and Floresians, but, apart from the Floresians, did not include them in their society. They were aware of the Progenitor Zetheilians but the two species kept their distance out of a mutual fear and mistrust of each other.

For several thousand years they were the dominant species on the Earth alongside the Floresians and Progenitors. But when the Progenitors began to alter the genes of other animals they started keeping a close eye on the reptilians. They left them alone as they created a multitude of races from a variety of DNA sources, including the horrific Fae. Who, while revolting, were tolerated due to the nature of their creation. Using nothing more than the DNA of long dead beasts and the incredibly stupid Marsh Striders,

It was only when the Progenitors began altering Humans to make new bizarre art species did the Denisovans object. They claimed that the humans were apart of Denisovan society and therefore could not be altered with genetic engineering technology. The Progenitors countered that the Humans they had used were living on their land and that humans were not citizens and more akin to livestock. As, if they were indeed citizens like the Denisovans claimed, why weren’t any humans attending their meeting.

The Denisovans did not yield though and demanded that the Human engineering projects must be stopped and that they would take drastic measures if it continued.

The progenitors did not take kindly to the threat and possible declaration of war. They continued, creating over two hundred more species of human, many with increasingly bizarre biology. Just out of spite and defiance. And so the Denisovans followed through on their threat and a catastrophic war broke out.

for 52 years the violent conflict raged, thousands of cities being leveled and destroyed, millions of lives lost. The war decimated the populations of many large megafauna, as well as the Neanderthals. Eventually the two sides, both weakened considerably had come to an agreement to end the fighting.

But by then both civilizations were almost completely destroyed. So rather than destroy more than they already had, the remaining Denisovans resigned themselves into extinction, living out the rest of their days and leaving no trace of themselves for the other races on Earth to discover.

Appearance and Biology

Denisovans are very similar to human’s physically, though they differ in a few major ways. One of the most notable being their stature. Denisovans are tall and well built, often being sexually attractive even to other species. They have large jaws, and wide chests and hips. Another major difference is that Denisovans of both sexes have much more hair on their bodies than any other human species, mainly on the chest, arms and legs. This was useful for living in the cold temperatures of their original environments.

Denisovans, like neanderthals, have long, broad and projecting features. Including large noses, and sloping forheads with flattened skulls

Denisovans also have much larger teeth with longer tooth rows than either humans or neanderthals.

Denisovans are naturally adapted to low-oxygen environments. An ability that has become more and more effective as they travel to and colonize new planets to live on. They can survive in environments that have only a quarter of normal oxygen levels on earth,
