Nocturne
Dorok is a small star, too close to the black hole of Nocturne to have kept its outermost planets. Its children who remain—Garrea, Alnihaya, and Harun—huddle close to their parent. Dorok's population recently reached one trillion, a milestone coming in conjunction with the accession of its sole state, Mandras, into the United Nations of Florathel. With Dorok splitting from Martial Space, its cultural, political, and religious landscape has grown more complicated, especially considering the recent wave of immigration from the rest of Florathel and Nocturne. Its inhabitants are mostly Rorazals, the species native to Garrea.
The first non-natives to settle Dorok were the Deviri, settling under a program by the Lareas Alliance to act as a way-station for the construction of the Aubade megastructure. With much of the system mined for material and industrialized, the populous remained long after the construction project was complete. The collapse of the Lareas Alliance left Dorok's worlds isolated. While civilization persisted for several centuries on Garrea, it eventually fractured, forming dozens of small technologically primitive nations.
The end of the dark ages brought a number of nations toward Dorok. Ectabana established contact first, but the Providence Union was the first to establish a lasting presence in the system. During the Union's war on Pecay-Po, hundreds of ships escaped the Nalachi system, spreading the Elkeres people far and wide. Many came to Dorok, in particular Garrea. Using whatever arms they brought with them, they subdued any Deviri or Rorazal resistance in Garrea's higher-elevation areas. The spectacular fall of the Providence Union left Dorok vulnerable—the Euphony Civilization wasted no time besieging the system. After their conquest, the Euphony gave the system an Un'oit name, Elegy and renamed each planet as well. As the Euphony collapsed, a local Un'oit dynasty pledged fealty to Sagittarium in exchange for keeping their rule in tact. The Euphonic Queendom of Elegy arose, existing somewhere between a vassal and an outright colony to Sagittarium.
As Sagittarium's influence increased, its propensity toward mega-projects sought to make the innermost planet of Garrea more habitable for Humans. To this day, Garrea has large stretches rendered inhospitable to its natives, whether Rorazal, Deviri, or Elkeres, a constant source of tension. When Sagittarium shed many of its colonies, Garrea fought for and won control over all of Dorok, creating the modern state of Mandras. While the system is rapidly developing, old tensions have finally been given the air they may need to ignite into outright conflict.
Worlds
Garrea

Garrea (Un'oit: Chaconne) is the innermost and most populated world of Dorok. Over three hundred billion call the planet home, with another one hundred billion living in orbit. Most of the population lives in the temperate evening band between its perpetual light and dark sides. As more immigrants come to this world, the dark side has seen a rapidly rising population, in particular from species who do not rely on sight. Most industry on Garrea is concentrated on its sunward side, taking advantage of perpetual solar energy to forgo the batteries most solar-powered facilities need.
Garrea has a strong magnetic field despite its small size, only 4700 kilometers across. Even with this magnetic field, it only hangs on to a tenuous atmosphere with little oxygen. The native Rorazals get their needed oxygen from their diet, meaning billions have left the planet to live on more oxygen-rich worlds. The Deviri have long since adapted to the the thing air. The present Elkeres have also evolved to live in thin atmospheres. The Un'oit have lived on Garrea for millennia, usually sticking to the dark side where they continue to reside. Large scale trenches, first built by Sagittarium, solve the "problem" of low pressure by creating relatively high pressures deep underground. Garrea's Human population and most immigrants reside in the trenches, such as the Poreltids.
Alnihaya

Alnihaya (Un'oit: Toccata) is a cool desert world orbiting Dorok. While the terraformation process has largely stalled, its now-thick atmosphere allows for small lakes to form. Talks over how exactly to terraform the world, for which species it should be most well-suited, and what life to introduce has kept it mostly stagnant. Endeavoring settlers have already laid claim to this world and had been living there since before official records began, bringing with them a host of microbes who now call the planet home. Their humble domed towns and villages, mostly of Elkeres and Deviri.
Harun

Harun (Un'oit: Motet) is something of a rural planet. With a mostly agrarian economy, Harun relies on large mirrors to concentrate enough light to grow crops. Resulting from previous conflicts, Harun's mostly Human population values both self-sufficiency and its isolation. Harun has been the least witting planet in Mandras' state-building project.
