The Fortress Republic of Dotskgard is a compact but populous state located mostly around the brown dwarf Medb. Dotskgard is a highly centralized presidential republic with a population of two and a half trillion. Dotskgard is the most popular state, or allod, within the Greater Martial Consilium. Its large economy, sustained both by its large fusion economy and immense consumer base forces it to engage with the outside universe. Were it not for this fact, the Dotsk would remain isolationist.

Modern Dotskgard was founded in 5840 CE. At the time, the nation was quite the imperial power. It leveraged its large but disorganized armies to secure a name for itself on the galactic stage. It cooperated with Sedrua, the Payotari Alliance, and the Triumvirate Civilization. During this period, a number of foreign concepts entered the collective psyche of the Dotsk. While the average Dotsk had an easy enough time taking the life of a non-Dotsk, fighting one another had never happened before. Civil war gripped the nation twice in ways so traumatizing that Dotsk society became irreversibly changed. After many years, Dotskgard emerged a democracy and has remained superficially the same since 7134 CE.

In the democratic era of nearly thirty millennia, civil war had been replaced with a strict adherence to the status quo. In a species where interpersonal violence is now unheard of, disputes are fought via a dense web of laws, agreements, and politics. The government constantly keeps private organizations down while they constantly rebel against the government. There is a certain boundary, however. Were one side to be permanently disabled or destroyed, automated soldiers, armies of foreigners, or other weapons threaten to reintroduce civil war to the peaceful Dotskgard.
