Overview

Evain is the first planet orbiting Amica in the Amica system. It is a hellish exoplanet in the Ambrosia Galaxy. Standing on the surface, all you would see in the sky is a dull yellow mass. Winds of 7.9 km/sec would be blowing droplets of molten rock across the planet, coming with superwarmed droplets of sulfuric acid raining down on you. In short, this is not as extreme as Stratastrophe, which is why it's so hellish because your lifetime on Evain is a bit longer than your lifetime on Stratastrophe, which lets you suffer longer. This has earnt Evain the nickname of 'The Sufferage'.

Evain flyby log

Flyby of Evain for the Strange New Worlds mission. It is too dangerous to go onto the surface, so the mission chose to do a flyby of Evain. The crew is in a smaller pod flying back towards the main station situated at Minoram. Onboard are Tyler Tilli, a pilot and astronomer and the head of the mission and Clare, his wife. She also has the same professions.

Minoram SNW station: Hello, Tyler and Clare. What are you seeing?

Clare: Well, we're still around 100000 km from the planet itself. From here it's just a big yellow blob.

Tyler: Well, let's warp closer to the planet so we can actually see the details, shall we?

The pod warps to ~30000 km from Evain.

Tyler: This appears to be a tidally locked but generic-looking planet. Mission Control, can you calculate the size and mass of Evain please?

Minoram SNW station: Sure! The mass is 12.265 Earth Masses and the size is around 1.714 Earth Radii.

Clare: That's dense!

Tyler: Yeah!

Minoram SNW station: And by the way, the atmosphere, which is mainly carbon dioxide, is in excess of 7 thousand times thicker than Earth's.

Tyler and Clare at the same time: What the hell? Literally!

Tyler: Let's go back now, since we've finished our observations.

Later, all parameters were analysed and confirmed.
