Fertasm

At the Heart and Soul of the Seula Derqu System, lies Fertasm. It shines possibly brighter than it's star, Seula. The Et, they disgust me!! Fight with me, brothers and Sisters!! We will make this system, stand out!! - EEC Leader Speech

Fertasm is a frigid planet located in the Seula Derqu System. Fertasm has been the site of a massive genocide against the Native race that resides there, the Et. The Et were a intelligent non-organic alien race that were primarily Hunter-Gatherers in their native environment. Fertasm is also the capital planet for EHAS.

Fertasm Genocide

By the end of the 100 000s, Humans were getting sick of constant moaning and groaning outside their dwellings. In fact, the moans and groans were actually the semi-intelligible speech of the Et. Eventually, they had had enough. They launched a campaign to kill all the Et, and then terraform Fertasm bring "life" as they called it, to the system. This resulted in the formation of the Et Eradication Campaign (EEC). In the next decade millions of Et were slaughtered and then burned or thrown into orbit. This hurtled the population downward evermore, until the local Quadrant heard of it, and put a stop to it. By then, the Et population was so low that it was unknown whether they would ever recover, as during the reproduction process of the Et, almost 9 out of 10 times, the female dies delivering 1-3 children, per pregnancy of the Et. Eventually, though, the Et levels recovered and Fertasm has since been deemed a protected planet, with most of its population living in O'Neil Cylinders in orbit. By the year 200 000 SE, the Et have made it into space, and are now in the process of making their own Nation, with the help of Humans.

Life

Ever since Humans came to Fertasm, the native life has been dying out, partly due to poisoning from Carbon, and partly due to poaching. The Et had potential to be star-faring, if left another ten-thousand years. Apart from the Et, the Fauna on Fertasm is very diverse. the Jetawaqu are cow-like creatures that excrete a foul smelling substance to humans, but is considered a delicacy amongst Et. Kliip are small bird like creatures that glide the airways amongst the clouds of Methane that cover the planet, and never touch the ground during their lives. The Mnop are fearsome predators that dominate the mountainous areas at the poles of the planet, but never come down further than 30° North or South. And Finally, comes the Vsela, a flying reptile a metre long that glides between mountains of the Squiaalaopa mountain range, and are considered a pest by the Et. And that is only a small section of the wildlife that Fertasm has to offer.

Flora, however, is relatively simple, with there being only 3 variations, named and categorised by Et researchers. Feaqqu are small willows only a metre high, but are very venomous to any animal that touches them. Agony, followed by convulsions, vomit, and finally death are what lies ahead if not treated immediately. Mcassa are small, grass like shrubs that seem to be able to grow anywhere on Fertasm, and grow almost overnight. They are purplish Brown in colour, and are the main diet of the Jetawaqu. Finally, there is the Uutlauu, a harmless bush like plant, that grows berries that are delicious to Et, but are poisonous to most other Major Lifeforms.

Economy

Fertasm mainly exports Antimatter, courtesy of Fertasm Antimatter, generated in huge underground particle Accelerators that take up most of the crust of Illapasa.

Another export of Fertasm is Tritanium, an extremely strong and light metal that is used for everything from a Black Hole Bomb to a coffee machine. Fertsatic Tritanium controls the export, import, and production of Tritanium.

Fertastic Tritanium

Template:Infobox CompanyAlthough it has such a fun and exciting name, Fertastic Tritanium has a stranglehold grip on the metal economy. Although it does produce its regular quo of Tritanium, it does so just barely and charges exorbitant prices for it so that hardly anyone does actually buy it. Almost all Tritanium comes from outside the system. Tritanium is 3 titanium atoms bonded together in a triple bond, so it is incredibly strong and lightweight. Tritanium has a melting point of 1200°C, and a boiling point of 3562°C. It is incredibly lightweight, as well as incredibly strong. If any competitors emerge for the Tritanium market, Fertastic Tritanium will either buy them or make their prices so low that it won't be able to survive. Fertasm Antimatter

Template:Infobox CompanyFertasm Antimatter one of a trio of main galactic exporters of Antimatter, despite only having three operational facilities. One underneath Wequa, the second, on Kloploc, and the third, on Dequarsalii orbiting the star Zexas. It provides almost the entire economy of the Seula Derqu System. It was once a subsection of Takanashi Antimatter, but split off once it realised what the true purpose of Takanashi Antimatter was. It now rivals Takanashi Antimatter for production of Antimatter.

Weather Systems

Often on Fertasm, huge Hurricanes wipe through oceans and continents alike, driven by the fast rotation of the planet, at 5 hours = one Fertasm day. Due to Humans evoling to have 12 hours of Day, and 12 hours of Night, the Humans usually stay awake around 2 Fertasm days, and sleep for 2 Fertasm Nights. This arrives at 10 hours of day and night, so it isn't too far of 24 hour day-night cycle that Humans have evolved with. Anyway, these storms can last for Fertasm weeks (around 2 days is a Fertasm week), but can stay up to a full 365 Fertasm days. Most of the Life on Fertasm has grown resistant to these super-storms.

Geography

Fertasm is so cold, that most of its expansive oceans are made out of liquid Xenon. This poses problems for Humans, as it is incredibly hard for them to traverse the terrain. In some places, the Radon in the atmosphere has condensed onto the terrain and has created such "Radon Lakes". the most notable of these is The Great Radon lake, on the banks of which is located the Radon City. Xenon lake is the largest of all the Xenon Lakes, but not Oceans, covering 2% of the planets aquatic surface. 4 "continents" dominate the Southern Hemisphere of Fertasm. Gulisa, Chariano, Soriia, and Illopasa, as they are called by the Et, are the main continents on Fertasm. The highest peak on the planet is Mt Huyyasa, at 17105 metres high. Other high mountains include Mt Yussa, 16903, Mt Reaqua, 16722, and Mt Killooa, 16022 metres.

Gulisa Overview

Gulisa is the largest of all the continents on Fertasm, and carries almost all of Et civilization on the planet. Mostly, the continent is grasslands full of Mcassa, Uutlauu, and very sparse fields of Feaqqu. The Feaqqu fields are avoided by all lifeforms on the planet, so in fact, those fields are the most pristine places on the planet.

Chariano Overview

Chariano is the second largest continent on the planet, and is full of plant life, althugh not much animal life.. Huge Feaqqu that grow to metres high dominate here, but no-where else on the planet. This is mainly the reason why this is the least-developed continent on the planet, as well as the least Fauna.

Illopasa

This continent is the most developed, and is currently the centre of Humans on the planet. It is almost at the stage were it is a mini-terra in its own right, with huge bubbles hundreds of kilometres across support Terran life, such as Cows, Sheep, and Pigs which support the Human population. It is predicted that eventually the bubble will merge, encasing the continent in one huge bubble.

Soriia Overview

Soriia is a frozen continent, and has hardly any life on it. It is Fertasm's equivalent of Antarctica (See, Earth), and is a frozen wasteland. Although all of the planet is colder than Antarctica, the south pole is especially cold. Next to no-one lives here, apart from the odd Et research station.

Vleoshara Sea Overview

A huge wasteland of liquid Xenon, and Radon. It dominates the North-Western Hemisphere of the planet, whereas most land dominates the South-Eastern Hemisphere.

Chinclo Ocean Overview

The Chinclo Ocean is the space between the "Big Three", Gulisa, Chariano, and Illopasa. It has many islands in between, the most notable of which is Mt Wecarma Island. Super-Storms and Rough Seas are common here.

The Northern Sea Overview

The Northern Sea is can be a huge range of things. In Winter, Rock-solid Xenon-Radon. In Summer, a Super-storm breeding ground. It was mentioned in Et mythology, in the following text. It has been translated from the original, so it doesn't make as much sense as it would in Etian.

Felio Ocean Overview

The Felio Ocean spreads across a depression in the land that starts in the East, and ends in the West. It is known for its incredible calmness, as well as freezing temperatures, even for Fertasm standards. It is incredibly hard to get across, as the early Et found the Hard way.

The Southern Isles Overview

The Southern Isles is a small Ocean dotted with Islands. Each one is slightly different to the last. One, an active cryovolcano. The next, a desert Island. It seems to never end, when you are sailing through it.

Cities

Vilasso City

Vilasso City is the largest of them all, and the centre of the planets cultural and economical life. It was founded in 78,429 CE, and is the Capital of the planet. 2 781,000,000 people live here along with 2,771,000 Et.

Mnequ Cylinder

The Mnequ Cylinder is the largest O'Neill Cylinder in orbit around Fertasm, and is specifically suited to Humans, as well as Klii'Quaa. It's Temperatures range from -20°C, to 40°C. It was built in 92,900 CE to accompany the systems overflowing population.

Geography

The Dimensions of the Mnequ cylinder go like this: 100 km high and wide, and then 100,000 km long. It is visible from space as a very long, but very thin line.

Searran Cylinder

The Searran Cylinder is a rather short, but very wide O'Neil Cylinder, that was built in 82,921 CE too, again, accommodate an overflowing population. It's Temperatures range from -150°C to 40°C, to accommodate Et, Humans and a whole host of other beings.

Geography

The Dimensions of the Searran Cylinder are very extreme, but work very well. 1,200 km long, but 10,000 km wide, and 10,000 km high. Up the "North" are temperatures from -150°C to -60°C, the middle, -60°C to 0°C, and the south, 0°C to 40°C.

Sermmaal'Qua-Fillia

Sermmaal'Qua-Fillia is the historical centre of Fertasm, being over 250,000 years old. It was built almost the moment the Et became sentient, and is their equivalent of Rome, for Humans on Earth. Borealis Universe
