GenoSys, short for Genetic Systems Incorporated, is a now defunct genetics company headquartered in Orca Point, Oregon.
History
Early Years
GenoSys was founded in 1993
Project Scale
In 2004, GenoSys began Project Scale. An initiative to use the Primordial Ooze they had discovered along Orca Point's coastline to mutate various reptiles, most notably several lizard species, into super powerful, easily controlled soldiers and infantry.
The Ooze was engineered in a way to bond human and animal cells together to create a 'superior' organism, rather than mutating the subjects into monstrous creatures.
By 2006 Project Scale was in full fruition. GenoSys purchased over 100 reptiles and amphibians from over 70 species to begin mass mutation.
Bankruptcy and Shut Down
Legacy
After the shut down and clean up, Jonathan Qu hired many of GenoSys' scientists and researchers to work for him at Qu Labs in New York City, including Liza Lazaros, who brought a small vial of ooze across the country with her and revealed to Jonathan it's mysterious mutagenic qualities.
The location of GenoSys Labs remained abandoned after it's bankruptcy for 20 years, rotting and falling into disrepair. Though unknown to anyone it became the home for a small family of mutants, comprised of Salvatore, Vee, Phelma and Luna.
In 2024 the building was slated to finally be demolished, though when demolition crews arrived at the site, Sal attacked them to protect his sisters, drawing the attention of the DinoSquad. who after a brief fight and helping an injured Luna. inform Victor Veloci of the mutant's plight.
Victor Veloci with the help of Aidan Briggs then buy the building under the guise of turning it into a DeinonyCorps. Laboratory. The building is repaired and refurbished to be a safe and comfortable home for any mutant in need of help.
