Not to be confused with: Giant Mutated Pitcher Plant
Endemic to the Pine Barrens area of New Jersey. the Giant Pitcher Plant is the largest Pitcher Plant on Earth. Like all pitcher plants, it is carnivorous feeding on insects, and due to its size larger creatures like amphibians, reptiles and mammals. It has a symbiotic relationship with the Jersey Devil - the plant produces sweet nectar that the Devils love to eat, and in order to claim the plants as their own will defecate in and around the plant.
