The Golden Age of Heroism was a period in history lasting from 1924-1950 noted for the appearance and operation of many independent superpowered heroes and villains, brought upon by the technological innovations following WWI and peaking during the start of WWII where Nazi scientists would begin making their own superpowered soldiers and agents, and the governments of the Allies (particularly the U.S.) would begin recruiting various powered individuals to assist in the war effort.

Legacy
Following WWII’s end the many heroes were let go and free to operate independently, though as their battles began causing more damage and harming more people than the heroes helped prevent, superheroics quickly became illegal and M.Y.T.H.O.S was called upon to keep the heroes and villains under wraps, instigate a wide-reaching misinformation campaign that would relegate the heroes to little more than stories or urban legends and, if the situation called for it, dealing with any rogue heroes and villains, imprisoning or terminating them if necessary.
