Summary:

The Gondia are a hybrid human/plant species resulting from the infection of a human by the symbiotic alien plant Cerebrivinea Lacutis. The plant not only lives inside the human but modifies the human genome as well, the resulting creature is 95% human genetically while also having a symbiotic plant integrated into their biological systems. The Gondia have spread to many worlds across the northern side of the M81 galaxy.

Appearance:

The Gondia look like the humans they are assimilated from except they:

are all female
have extremely pale skin like an albino
have green hair with flowers growing in it (flowers can be orange, pink or sometimes purple)
the gondia have slightly more brownish blood due to them having plant cells in their bloodstream but their blood is still red
the Gondia often have a greenish tinge to certain parts of their body like their nipples, lips, eye shadow etc but this isn’t always the case
have green eyes with their iris full of chlorophyll
have a retractable vine that can extend out of somewhere on their arm and they use this to assimilate others by injecting seeds into another person/animal
often wear clothes made from genetically modified fungus but not always
if you look at their skin very closely you can see green plant fibres under their skin and in their body

Origin:

The story of the Gondia starts with a species of human known as the Galls (Homo lauresiensis adenii). Not much is known about them, however, they resembled Homo Sapiens to a superficial degree. They first colonised Aiden in an effort to mine protolythium, an element only found on Aiden which can be used as a room temperature superconductor as their experimental FTL system required it to work effectively.

During the initial colonisation of Aiden it became apparent to the Galls that the ecosystem of this planet was totally unique. All Terrestrial animals had been infected and subverted by an alien plant called Cerebrivinea Lacutis this altered the animals in a few key-ways, firstly all animals regardless of their prior lifestyle had become herbivores and primarily consumed the nectar of the male form of the Cerebrivinea Lacutis plant along with fruits and nectars from other plants. Secondly all the animals were female and reproduced through a form of parthenogenesis. Thirdly there was no species competition; all the infected animals seemed to cooperate and co-habitate. But by far the biggest change was that their bodies were not purely animal, and they had the female version of Cerebrivinea Lacutis growing inside them, they had flowers growing out of their bodies, visible chlorophyll pigmentation and vines which they could extend out of their bodies. Even more shocking was their genetics: the animal cells inside their bodies had been tampered with; the plant had in fact introduced new genetic instructions to the genome of infected animals which changed how their bodies operated.

Despite these red flags the protolythium was too valuable to the Galls however and they began the colonisation effort and things were fine for many centuries. However due to the peaceful and social nature of the infected animals children would often play and interact with them. Eventually around 1000 years after the initial colonisation of Aiden some Gall children had become infected after interacting with the native fauna of Aiden. It initially showed up as a change in the behaviour and personality of the infected children after approximately 24 hours. Some of these changes include the refusal to eat meat, Gender dysphoria (MTF, the desire to be female) in males, lack of aggression, and mania. After 3 days the physical symptoms would start to manifest such as chlorophyll growing in the hair, flowers growing out of the head, and the children would report an ability to communicate with the native fauna as well as other infected children on some deep level even from a distance. After a week genetic change to the infected could be detected, the skin would become extremely pale and white and if the infected child was male they would become female just like all the other animals on Aiden. After 2 weeks the process was complete, and no unmodified genetic material could be found within the infected child’s body.

This caused Gall society to panic and it was soon found out that all children that would later become infected had the same sore somewhere on their body and that this sore was caused by the animals pricking the children with a thorn from the end of the retractable vine that each and every animal had. This led to calls for the extermination of all the animals.

Meanwhile the children were put in special institutions where medical professionals attempted to find a cure for the infected children however after months of trying no cure of the vaccine could be developed. At this time the Galls started calling the infected the “Gondia” which is a combination of the Galian words “Gon” meaning enemy and “Diale” meaning plant.

however when the Gondia children became aware of the extermination plans the animals became aware and started attacking the Gall settlements and protolythium mines and it became unprofitable to continue mining the protolythium especially since newer Gall FTL systems didn’t require it, and over time it Aiden became a financially desolate planet as far as the Galls were concerned and there was a large exodus of people out of Aiden. The Gondia remained however and some other Galls preferred the peaceful simple Gondia form of life among nature and voluntarily let themselves be assimilated either by the infected animals or by the other human Gondia.

Over time the Gondia started making technology of their own which was biological as the Cerebrivinea Lacutis plant had both a means of storing power and the ability to create electromagnetic fields. The Gondia used the last of the Remaining Gall technology to manipulate the genes of the Male Cerebrivinea Lacutis plant to create all sorts of technology from biological computers to vehicles and even genetic engineering devices to create even more technology in the future.

With the unassimilated Galls Gone the Gondia had started a peaceful society of their own amongst the nature and beauty of Aiden. They even stopped identifying as Galls and started calling themselves the Gondia as a reclamation of the name that was given to them by their former oppressors.

History:

For thousands of years the Gondia were content to live on their homeworld Aiden living a harmonious anarchist life with all other assimilated animals. However, They communicated with the human civilizations of the galaxy and even allowed different human species to visit and if these humans liked Aiden and the Gondia they could opt-to be assimilated and join The Gondia living on Aiden as they were genetically close enough to Galls for assimilation to work on them.

Gondia society did not have a social hierarchy, each big societal choice was made collectively through the electromagnetic telepathic link that connected all Gondia and no Gondia considered themselves better than any other Gondia and it was truly a paradise for thousands years.

However, everything changed with a Gondia called Mystrel, Mystrel became convinced that a Goddess she called Tera was speaking to her and that Tera was revealing to Mystrel secrets about the origin of life and the universe. Tera also allegedly wanted the Gondia to take to the stars and assimilate all the humans in the M81 Galaxy and beyond according to Mystrel. Unfortunately, this idea caught on and the Gondia set for the stars creating FTL capable bioships to assimilate the universe by force.

The cult of Tera as they began to call themselves spread far across space assimilating different species of human as they went, but they spread themselves thin enough that a faction of Gondia reformists were able to break off. These Gondia reformists who called themselves the NeoGondia wanted to return to pre-Tera Gondia thinking. They used a war the cult of Tera was having against a vampire-like human species called the Vendalah to sneak away to the galactic south.

The NeoGondia settled down on a Moon that they named Iris-III orbiting a gas giant in a system in the southern side of the M81 galaxy with a G-type star. The NeoGondia terraformed the Moon into a new Aiden and began living there. However, unlike their ancestors the NeoGondia faction did not stay on Iris-III they instead continued to explore space and meet many intelligent alien species in the galactic south.

Eventually there was a gondia civil war and the NeoGondia and thier allies won and tera was revealed to be a false god. the cult of tera disbanded and the gondia became a united people again under a new flag, and the NeoGondia became just the main Gondia faction, and the crusade to assimilate the universe ended

iris-III was then moved to the milky way galaxy by the Nuna and Iris-III became the milky way base of the gondia.

**The Evolution of Cerebrivinea Lacutis:**

Cerebrivinea Lacutis evolved on Aiden around 200 million years ago. It initially was a weed that evolved the ability to store a fatty biofuel called hyperglucose which could be used as an energy source to electrically shock animals that tried to eat it like an electric eel. But over time it formed a symbiotic relationship with an animal called the Mofak which in exchange for nectar would pollinate the flowers, carrying the pollen from the male flower to the female flower. However, this relationship eventually got so intimate that the female plant started living inside the Mofak so all it needed to do was to eat the nectar (and pollen) from the male flower and it would fertilise the female plant inside the Mofak’s body and the flowers that grew out of the Mofak would drop seeds around while the Mofak walked around doing what animals do. Then the next great leap was the male flower evolved its electric attack into a form of biological radio that could call the Mofak over when nectar and pollen were ready to be eaten through a process of creating electromagnetic waves that resonated through the stem of the plant like an aerial. Eventually this even developed into a way infected animals could communicate with each other using their female plants as biological radio transmitters and receivers.

The next great leap came from the nature of the plants cell, all plants on Aiden evolved from a fusion between a virus and a cyanobacteria-like cell, the virus became the nucellus of the cell and the cell has 1 chromosome and instead of using chromosomes for sexual reproduction they use viral shuffling to exchange genes with the opposite sexed flower.

This gave Cerebrivinea Lacutis the ability to do something very interesting, some cells could sacrifice themselves to become viruses again and this could be used to insert genes into a host organism and Cerebrivinea Lacutis did this to modify its animal host into the perfect host for itself. Firstly, it changed all individuals to female as it reduced genetic diversity and made it less likely that the Mofak could adapt by evolving immunity. Next it completely changed how the mofaks body worked and fully integrated the plant into the biology of the mofak so not only was it host to a plant, but the animal part of the body had plant traits as well.

Eventually as it adapted cerebrivinea lacutis infected more species until every animal on land was under its umbrella. For the carnivorous species it infected it changed their dietary requirements to being herbivorous (primarily eating the nectar) and it made all the animals less aggressive and more social with each other, the infected animals never fought with each other and even could communicate through the telepathic radio communication they felt great empathy and love for one another.

Gondia Biological facts:

the Gondia are all female and reproduce through parthenogenesis
the gondia skin color varies in color slightly, they are all white/pale but some can look more bluish while others can look more greyish and some can look more yellowish and some can look more pinkish and some can look more greenish and some can look more brownish this is due to the variation in pictilin

The Gondia have 3x the strength an equivalent human would have, and this is due to 4 reasons 1. the fact that with the plant fibres in their body the Gondia body provide much more structural support than what a human body would normally provide and as such the brain doesn’t need to suppress as much of the body’s innate strength, and 2 the plant optimises the metabolism of the host allowing for higher strength, 3 the auxiliary adrenal glands in the thighs allow for quick bursts of energy, and 4 the plant fibres inside the gondia can retract and contract like muscles (because the female version of cerebrivinea lactutis gets energy from its animal host which allows it to move) which adds extra strength (in other words most gondia can lift 600 pounds into the air over their head)
the gondia can assimilate you in 2 ways, either they inject you with seeds from thier assimilation vines or you could be implanted with a segment of cerebrivinea lacutis taken surgically from another gondia, the seed method is the natural method but taking a segment of another gondia’s symbiote also works if implanted into a new host, this second method works even without the pollen of a male cerebrivinea lacutis flower as its a form of asexual assimilation because its creating an exact copy of the plant from another gondia

due to the Gondia’s natural habitat being very hot the Gondia find it harder to tolerate the cold and will get hyperthermia more easily than a normal human (they will get hyperthermia at about 5-8 degrees celsius above what it would take to give a normal human hyperthermia, obviously this can be countered by wearing more warm clothes but humans are better at tolerating the cold than Gondia)

the cerebrivinea lacutis plant is susceptible to the antiviral drugs used to fight HIV, and these medications can make a Gondia very sick or even kill them with high enough doses, additionally if someone is in the early stages of assimilation these drugs can be used to kill the growing plant inside them and prevent them from becoming a Gondia

The Gondia all have extremely pale skin. This is to allow light through to the plant fibres underneath the skin, but the Gondia have a chemical in their bodies that prevents them from getting sunburnt.

sometimes when someone is assimilated into a Gondia it can cause rapid hair growth as the hair of a Gondia is used for photosynthesis and protecting the flowers coming out of the head so having longer hair is good for the plant
the Gondia are capable of talking to plants and fungus in a similar way to the way plants and fungus talk to each other in the mycelial web, the Gondia can do this by extending their assimilation vines to make contact with a plant or fungus, however on Aiden they can do it telepathically as well without contact as they can communicate with the male cerebrivinea lacutis growing in the ground through electromagnetic waves and can use the male plant as a proxy

the Gondia have adrenal glands in their upper legs and this allows them to have quick bursts of energy but if the adrenal gland is punctured (for example with a bullet or knife) then the Gondia will fall over and go into a fit on the ground and it will knock them out for a while, naturally the Gondia don't go around telling people about this weakness

the Gondia do not have any bacteria in Their bodies Instead they have special digestion cells in Their gut that are made by Their plant symbiote and if any bacteria or foreign material enters a Gondia's body the symbiote will attack and attempt to destroy it

the Gondia have special cells in their blood that will attack any foreign cells/nanites that enters their body for this reason the Gondia have some of the best immune systems of any species and are highly resistant to disease and even nanites/nanoprobes, these cells can also be modified to do the same thing in the bodies of other species as a medical treatment, but as the other species won’t have a symbiote to make these cells, repeat injections of these cells are required until the infection is defeated

The Gondia usually have pink or orange flowers in their hair but this isn't the case 100% of the time, just most of the time

the gondia infect people by injecting spores/seeds into people using their retractable thorny assimilation vine which retracts from somewhere on their arm, they have 2 one on each arm

the Gondia cannot consume meat and attempting to do so will make them very sick, this is due to the plant evolving this trait to prevent the assimilated animals from hurting each other, the Gondia can however eat any plant-based foods humans can eat, but they primarily eat the nectar of the cerebrivinea lactutis plant as it has all the nutrients they need

infection usually takes 24 hours to start taking effect and 2 weeks to go from a human to a fully infected gondia
the Gondia have an internal body temperature of 40 degrees Celsius and their bodies can function with an internal body temperature up to 46C making them very well adapted to hothouse worlds

the Gondia live 2x as long as an unassimilated equivalent member of their assimilated species and they only start showing physical signs of ageing in the last 8th of their life (assimilated nuna can live for 800 years and only show signs of ageing in their last 100 years, assimilated homo sapiens can live for 200 years and only show signs of ageing in their last 25 years etc)

Gondia themselves having the plant inside them can generate a small amount of electricity but not enough to use as a weapon the average Gondia can generate 5 volts 3 amps enough to charge a phone or power a flashlight but not enough to hurt anyone

The Gondia must eat more than normal humans because they are supporting their body and the plant but the plant supplements this with chlorophyll but if kept out of the sun the Gondia will have to eat more to make up for the lack of sunlight

at this time Gondia are only capable of assimilating humans and the animals that originally came from the gondia homeworld

the plant in a gondia's body produces a chemical when near a lifeform that can be assimilated this chemical tells the Gondia if an organism can be assimilated but this has another effect, Gondia are often capable of spotting an imposter pretending to be human such as a shapeshifting alien or android but it depends on how elaborate the disguise is for example a shapeshifting aliens capable of disguising as a human to the extent that they can mimic human pheromones may be able to fool the Gondia's senses

the Gondia reincarnate meaning that when a Gondia dies their mind is saved in the link and put in a new body in the future but this can only done with a compatible body meaning one of the same species, you can’t put a nuna mental map inside a homo sapien for example you need a nuna body for a assimilated Nuna to reincarnate into (in reality all creatures reincarnate but the Gondia can see when it has happened and give the reincarnated person their memories back other species can’t do this due to them not possessing a link such as the Gondia have), this means the Gondia are functionally immortal

the Gondia only need to breathe while being active as the plant inside Their bodies supplies enough oxygen when they are idle or doing very easy activities, additionally the Gondia can survive in environments with extremely low oxygen

people who had conditions before being assimilated can often have those conditions fixed by the plant, for example people who had been diagnosed with cancer have been cured of the cancer by the symbiotic plant, and people who previously couldn't see have had their sight restored by the symbiote, even some genetic disorders can be compensated for by the plant the plant does not usually fix the underlying genetic flaw but often it can compensate for it for example it can produce insulin for hosts with diabetes effectively curing them and the plant can compensate for most degenerative conditions

the human side of the Gondia is genetically altered to the point where it is no longer human as the Cerebrivinea Lacutis symbiote inserts a lot of foreign DNA into the host cells in the infection stage, it makes huge changes to the genome of its host to the point where even if the symbiote was removed what you would be left with wouldn’t be human

the Gondia become pregnant on Their own (unwillingly) periodically and the fewer Gondia there are around the more it happens, the presence of many other Gondia's pheromones slows down the process, this is to keep the Gondia from overpopulating but when there are few Their biological imperative would be to populate an area

the Gondia are also extremely tolerant to high levels of carbon dioxide in the air and can breathe air with levels of carbon dioxide that would kill a normal human, this is because their blood has plant cells in it that have chlorophyll in them which can remove CO2 from the blood and convert it into more oxygen

the nectar of Cerebrivinea Lacutis has all the chemicals and nutrients needed for the human body and even non-gondia humans can live off it
the human part of the Gondia has a lot of its genes altered to serve as a better host for the plant and their genome is approximately 95% the same as a non-infected human and that 5% contains all the changes made to the human side of the Gondia, this means that they would no longer be considered the same species as they were before they were assimilated and as such are not human anymore

the plant changes human biology to no longer produce melanin and instead the plant creates a unique chemical that protects cells from damage from UV radiation, this is so more light can get through the skin to the photosynthetic plant inside the body, this is what gives the Gondia their pale appearance (this chemical is called SPC-13)
the Gondia plant produces a chemical called MCF-12 during initial infection which tricks the Human immune system into thinking that the plant is a normal organ so it doesn't attack the plant, MCF-12 could be used for organ donation and prosthetics if it was harvested from the Gondia, but once the body is assimilated and the genetics of the infected organism are changed then MCF-12 is no longer required and the plant stops producing it

the Gondia are also extremely tolerant to high levels of carbon dioxide in the air and can breathe air with levels of carbon dioxide that would kill a normal human

the seeds of the Cerebrivinea Lacutis are sometimes called spores due to them resembling the tiny orange spores of ferns on earth, however since they are the product of sexual reproduction they are technically seeds, and unlike spores they come from the flowers and assimilation vines of the female cerebrivinea lacutis plant, and in the case of the (formally human) Gondia those flowers are in their hair, and those assimilation vines retract from their arms

to assimilate someone a gondia must have eaten the nectar of the cerebrivinea lacutis plant (which contains pollen) within the last 2 weeks this is because to assimilate someone they need fertilised seeds/spores to inject into someone using their assimilation vines. After around 2 weeks without pollen they run out of fertilised spores/seeds for the plant inside them to reproduce itself, and as such after being deprived of pollen for this long they are unable to infect another person until they are able to eat the nectar again

with a lot of training a gondia is able to speak though radios or anything that converts electromagnetic waves into information by carefully modulating the electromagnetic field they use to communicate, but it's an extremely hard skill to learn and requires years of careful training and the vast amount of gondia are not going to have the ability to modulate precisely enough to do it

the Gondia reproduce through Obligate thelytoky which is a kind of parthenogenesis where the children are clones of the mother

all of the hairs on a gondia’s body are green not just the ones on the head
the Gondia have a "sweet tooth" and have a strong preference for sweet and fruity flavoured foods as this reflects their natural diet of nectar and fruit

the Gondia do not produce normal mammalian milk, instead when they have babies their mammary glands fill with the same sort of nectar the adult Gondia eat from the male flowers, this is what they feed to their babies

you might assume that the Gondia conciousness/soul is the human host's but its actually a combination of the human and plant mixed together, meaning the person you are talking to when you talk to a gondia is both the human and the plant because thier souls (and minds) are fused together and they have a greater capacity for intelligence and memory because they can both use the human brain and the plants distributed intelligence to think and they both work together seamlessly as one

Gondia do not get periods like humans do because the plant controls the ovulation cycle and when the gondia becomes pregnant so there is no need to waste eggs every month because they only get released when they are needed

the gondia cannot deceive each other because their telepathic connection easily allows them to tell whether another gondia is being truthful or not

onion and garlic are toxic to gondia like they are toxic to most organisms

sometimes if a gondia doesnt eat nectar in a really long time they can lose the flowers in thier hair, and they will only re-grow them once they start eating nectar from the male plant again, but this doesnt always happen sometimes the flowers will just remain unfertilized, its unknown why in some gondia they go away and in some they stay its just natural variation

the flowers in a gondia's hair can vary in size this is unlike earth plants which generally have the same sized flower, Gondia flowers can vary from quite big to tiny on the same plant/gondia, they can have multiple sizes on 1 individual

due to the gondia natural diet the Gondia mostly crave sweet and fruity flavours, they rarely if ever crave any other tastes in their food, They can eat other flavours but they don’t really enjoy them generally
the one animal product that gondia can consume is honey
the gondia are capable of regrowing lost body parts due to the plants ability to control the stem cell production in the body
the chemical the gondia have in the place of melanin is called pictilin and it gives the gondia their whiteish almost ghostly appearance, its this chemical that protects the gondia from UV rays and allows them to have very pale skin that light can pass through without the usual UV damage from the sunlight

Gondia hair under a microscope, the photosynthetic cells on the hair pass atp to each other down the stalk and that helps the with the Gondia’s energy needs. Note: these cells in the hair contain no nucleus and are similar to cyanobacteria and that's why they are so small

Gondia culture

The Gondia culture is generally peaceful, and they have no societal hierarchies and instead have a sort of anarcho-communist way of living which is made easier by their ability to communicate in mass over vast distances. However, they have some very radical views such as the view that all species that eat meat should be modified to herbivores (this includes people) and they view the practice of eating meat as disgusting and akin to murder. Also, they don’t believe in punishing people for crimes, instead they use genetic engineering to modify criminals’ bodies to make them unable or less likely to commit the crime again, this can include but is not limited to increasing the innate empathy of the criminal.

The Gondia also have their own theology:

14 billion years ago there was nothing but a toxic desert that went on forever, but one day a great tree grew out of the desert, the tree was large and fertile and had many branches.

On one of the branches however there was a parasitic vine called Tera who fed off the tree and was making the tree very sick, so the tree created 3 fairies that grew out of flowers on the tree to go and smite Tera, however tera also made some fairies of her own who loved living on tera and went to do battle with the light fairies.

Eventually the light fairies won and the infected branch fell off the tree to the base of the tree where it rotted and formed the world at the base of the tree and all life and things we see in the universe grew out of the decaying mulch

However 2 of the dark fairies survived and their descendants continue to cause trouble in the universe to this day.

However the light fairies also had children and became a whole family each controlling different aspects of the universe here is a list of some of them however there are more that are unmentioned:

Thetella: The Fairy of thought and wisdom, she was one of the first fairies made by the tree, she is also leader of the light fairies and she is the eldest and most wise of them all

Thunderlina: The fairy of Thunder and the fairy that protects the Gondia from the monsters of the desert and the children of Tera

Figg: The fairy of peace and fertility and a good nectar harvest

Gondia technology:

All Gondia technology is biological, and most is derived from genetically modified versions of the male version of the cerebrivinea lacutis plant. All Gondia technology responds to the pheromonal signals of the Gondia meaning that other humanoid species are incapable of operating it.

Ships:

The Gondia ship classes are named after types of insects such as the damselfly class that was first developed in the 15^th century, they have paddle like fins that emit strong electromagnetic fields that are able to push the vesicle forward and manoeuvre around. All ships are fitted with disruptors, tractor beams, transporters, shields and FTL systems and specialised ships have even more functions. Most Gondia ships are capable of travelling around 3 light years per day and it would take them approximately 82 years to travel from one side of the galaxy to the other if they were able to travel non-stop, however travelling non-stop is not realistic and in reality a trip across the galaxy could take far longer.

More advanced gondia ships however have transwarp drives that allow them to travel through another dimension and travel much much faster than regular warp, its so fast in fact that it only takes 1 year for one of these specialised ships to travel from the M81 galaxy to the Milky way, the Gondia stole the knowledge needed for the creation of transwarp drives from the new Dominion

Disruptors:

Gondia disruptors are the go-to weapon of the Gondia when fighting other species as they can be used to stun both biological and technological species alike, but it can also be used to kill and even disintegrate a target when needed.

They work by using an electromagnetic field to propel theron particles towards a target and theron particles have a disruptive effect on matter and in small doses they can disrupt the communication of nerves (or circuits in machines) in the body of a person or animal. But on much larger doses can cause the structure of objects to “rot” leaving holes in objects or they can even disintegrate objects, disruptors are seen as a humane weapon due to the fact that theron particles dissipate and assuming you are only stunned you will make a full recovery after a few hours, The Gondia philosophy is one of precision rather than power when creating weapons and they see weapons as a tool like a scalpel rather than a brute force attack like other species do.

note: disruptors were originally invented by the Nuna and the Gondia copied them, originally gondia guns were a mixture of biological tranquilliser guns and electrolasers. The Gondia do not make weapons that can only be used lethally as killing/injuring is only a last resort to the gondia. They consider weapons that are primarily designed to injure/kill to be evil and barbaric. Disruptors are good for the gondia as they can be used to stun/incapacitate with no lasting damage, but if there is no other option then they can be used to kill and even disintegrate. Disruptors can also be used to disintegrate obstacles so they are a multi-purpose tool and they are very useful to the Gondia.

Computers

Gondia computers use nerve endings as logic gates rather than trying to emulate the human brain because the Gondia fear that if they try to emulate the brain it could lead to their technology becoming conscious and then it would be unethical to use it as that would be slavery. Aiden exports:

Aiden exports cerebrivinea Lacutis Nectar under the brand name of Nex as it has all the chemical and nutrient requirements of the human body, they export it to worlds that are struggling to feed their population for free. Also, they sell Nex to worlds where there is a demand for it, Nex tastes a bit like Jello and is purple in colour. Another Aiden export is Aiden Cotton, a cotton like plant with purple “cotton” fibre used to create fabrics for the creation of clothes and bedding.

The Moon Iris-III

the moon/planet of Iris-III was formally the home of the NeoGondia before the war but after the war ended with a NeoGondia victory the world Iris-III was moved to the Milky way to be the MIlky way base of the Gondia, it now serves the same function in the milky way that Aiden serves in the M81 Galaxy

Karbov is a massive supercontinent covering a lot of Iris-III’s surface and it is the main land mass on the planet there are many areas in Karbov some of them include:

-Yuheerah

Yuheerah is a multicultural town that gets most of its wealth from off world tourism, although the NeoGondia economy is socialist they let foreign businesses into Yuheerah because they know it will attract more tourism. Yuheerah also is where a lot of the nectar to be used in Nex is grown.

-Yudellah

Yudellah is the Capital city of the NeoGondia civilization and is off limits to non-citizens, it is a massive biological city and is the main central hub of the NeoGondia.

-Mirah

Mirah is a small R&D settlement where new Biotechnology is developed, it is mostly a research institute with a small community around it, it is off limits to outsiders except under special circumstances as it is where new technologies of all kinds are developed.

-The forbidden Dead zone aka the Forbidden Desert

The Forbidden desert is the site of a war involving a species that existed on the planet long before the NeoGondia colonised, however that species has either left or gone extinct. Despite the name people are allowed to go here but it is very dangerous as the environment is toxic and infested with mutated lifeforms, also there are these hostile mutated creatures called howlers that come out at night and hunt anything that comes into their land, but there are ruins of a dead civilisation here.

Haypen Island

The Haypen island is a lawless land that has not been colonised by the NeoGondia officially, this is a place where a lot of different factions consisting of many different species have made their home and there are no laws there

Nuadia Gulph

The Naudia Gulph is a part of the Permian Ocean that is protected from strong tides by Haypen island, it is a very calm bit of ocean and off-worlders are encouraged to enjoy the many beaches here.

Gondia societal structure:

Gondia live in tribal communities on their home planets. The average gondia spends most of their lives living amongst nature, foraging for nectar and fruit, playing with other gondia (and assimilated animals), being social, pursuing their own interests and enjoying life with their “sisters”. The gondia do their scientific and technological endeavours in their hub cities that are collectively owned by all the tribes that use them; however no gondia live in the hub cities, at least not permanently, they only exist for developing technology and collaborating on larger projects (such as space travel).

the Gondia have no social hierarchy and instead all big decisions are made collectively, the Gondia consider hierarchy foolish as its a belief that someone can somehow be superior enough to justify making decisions for others a gondia might say “what makes your leader superior to all the people they are leading? any one of you is just as capable as them at making choices so why do they get to be in charge?”.

Gondia's subservient Vassil species

The gondia picked up some imperialist culture/doctrine from the Nuna and The Gondia believe themselves to be more enlightened than other species and have taken control of the development of all the sapient species within their space. They do this because the Gondia believe that it's in the other species best interest to be moderated, they control what these species are able to do and make rules and guidelines targeted toward each species, the Gondia will also help these species develop technology but its on the Gondia's terms and the Gondia decide when certain knowledge and technology should be handed out. The Gondia install Nanny states intended to foster the development of these species in ways the Gondia see fit. Some of these subservient species include (but are not limited too):

-The Nimrivi, a race of feliform humanoids, they have been allowed to have limited FTL capabilities but the Gondia genetically modified them to be herbivores and removed their predatory cat-like instincts, they also are not allowed to run their own governments or set their own internal laws as the Gondia found their civilization in a state of wreck when they arrived

-the Aidenian brotherhood - some gondia do not become female identifying people, 100% of trans men and 5% of cis men retain their male identities as well as 1% of originally gondia born gondia have a male gender identity they have been suppressed by the cult of tera and the neogondia and now the united gondia, although now after the civil war they are have been allowed to come out of the shadows a bit but they are still largely hated in gondia society, these gondia use testosterone to maintain a male appearance while still being a gondia and they are mostly from a refuge world around a star in the transgalactic void. the planet is called Ute and it is out of the way so they keep hidden from greater gondia society, however after the civil war they have started going into the galaxy to try to fight for their right to exist

-the Setia- the Setia are a mysterious group of gondia which have harnessed the magic of their spirit plants to give them magical powers, spirit plants are the Gondia equivalent of a Fylgia, they are powerful spirits and every gondia has one, they take the form of ghostly plant Apparitions. The Setia are from a distant part of the M81 Galaxy and have practised their magical arts for hundreds of thousands of years, they are now under the threat from the new dominion who has expanded into their space.

-the space nomads-

Around 50,000 years ago the neogondia sent out a fleet of colony ships to the a distant part of the universe chasing a repeating signal coming from deep space. The signal comes from a galaxy 5 billion light years away, these gondia are still on that journey but due to the time separated from the other gondia and their exposure to the cosmic rays of space the plant inside them has evolved into a new species called cerebrivinea corticopellis meaning “bark-skinned brain vine” the biggest difference between these gondia and the gondia of the M81 Galaxy is the pictilin in their skin has gotten alot darker due to the increased need to protect their bodies from the rays of space, so like the nuna they now have dark brown skin giving them the same color pallet as a tree hence their name, these gondia live in giant colony ships with self sustaining ecosystems inside and they go from galaxy to galaxy interacting with other species and harvesting resources to continue their nearly endless voyage to the other side of the universe. These gondia have completely lost contact with the M81 Galaxy as the ships were sent out before the gondia got sophons from the nuna, additionally they do not have transwarp and they have mostly been forgotten by larger gondia society

Gondia quirks and facts:

-the Gondia don't have a spoken language because when you can communicate mentally there is no reason to have one, and Their written language is more like symbols that have abstract meanings but it doesn't exactly have words, it's kind of like emojis but with more agreed on meanings, however they do come up some spoken names for people and objects for the sake of communication with non-gondia species

-in Gondia culture the Gondia who assimilates someone becomes considered a sort of 3rd parent for the new gondia, this third parent is called a Yumor. Yumors love the Gondia they created via assimilation just as much as Their own biological children, it's a very loving and close bond they share.

-becoming a Gondia changes people, one of the most obvious changes is that if they are male their gender identity will shift to female but that is not the only thing that changes and as such some Gondia find it hard to identify with their pre-assimilation selves, some other changes include being more affectionate and emotionally open, being more empathetic towards all different species, feeling less shame for one's own feelings and being more comfortable being with others especially other Gondia

-the Gondia are very good at genetic engineering and often perform genetic experiments on people, animals and plants, they also have some of the best medical knowledge of any species

-Gondia technology runs on a substance called hyperglucose which is an extremely high energy biofuel that the Gondia make using specialised genetically engineered plants that use the sun's (or any source of UV radiation) energy to synthesise this compound, all Gondia ships are capable of making hyperglucose during flybys of stars, the Gondia also have plants that are capable of using electricity to create hyperglucose (hyperglucose is similar to oil/gasoline except it's more energy packed and it's almost solid, it resembles extremely thick black tar, the Gondia technology that uses this can metabolise it), hyperglucose existed in Cerebrivinea Lacutis since its ancestors evolved the ability to use electricity as a weapon, the hyperglucose evolved as a powersource Cerebrivinea Lacutis made to dish out short bursts of energy to use as a defence against predatory herbivores before it evolved the ability to infect hosts, the existence of hyperglucose and the plants abilities to create electromagnetic fields and electricity are the reason the Gondia chose to base their technology on biology as the Cerebrivinea Lacutis plant had a lot of potential to be made into technology

-the Gondia do not possess thermo-nuclear weapons and instead rely on genetically designed pathogens as their weapons of mass destruction when they need such force, although this kind of force is only used in a last resort

-gondia culture devalues masculine traits like competition and dominance and gondia culture values feminine traits like cooperation, being a team player and compassion, also the gondia think of internal competition as illogical and a waste of resources which would be better used to contributing to the team, gondia games reflect this instead of competing with each other in games gondia games are about cooperation, the gondia also do not glorify violence and instead glorify non-violent means of settling conflict although they do not consider stun weapons as violent also they do not consider the violation of another's will to be inherently violent as long as its benevolent in intent

The Cult of Tera:

The cult of Tera was they main faction of gondia for hundreds of thousands of years they believed that individuality is the cause of all evil in the universe. The Cult of Tera also believed that at the beginning of time there was a giant primordial flower called Tera that grew out of the universe and that all life initially were her children and all lived happily on top of her. However, one day a great storm caused all the children of tera to fall into the universe below where over time they evolved into different forms and lost their connection to both their mother and each other. They became suspicious of each other and egotistical and when Tera found them and begged them to come back to her, they refused as they had become individualistic, disorderly and selfish. Then Tera wept and her tears evolved into all the plants of the universe and the cult of tera Believed that Cerebrivinea Lacutis is a manifestation of Tera and that everyone should be assimilated as a way of being one with their mother again.

The cult of Tera had been travelling the galactic north for thousands of years assimilating parahuman species into Gondia by force, and then using a combination of the telepathic link between the Gondia and brainwashing techniques to convince the newly infected of their cause while they are in the temporary post-assimilation mania phase where they are highly suggestible to the link.
