Template:War description templateThe Great Galactic War was the final war fought during the age of The First Renaissance. The First Galactic Empire and The Precursors formed an unlikely alliance, hoping to stop their decline. they quickly started to expand. The Humans, Zythryns, and Evalrion formed a coalition against them, realizing that if the alliance became too powerful it could wipe them out.
Finally, The Galactic empire began to attack minor nations near Evalrion and Zythyn, provoking a war. facing superior forces, Evalrion was captured within a few years and the two old empires began to push into Human and Zythyn territory. the war seemed to be hopeless for the coalition, but then the remaining factions of the now-destroyed Pirate Alliance started to raid the two empire's supply chains, cutting them off from their frontline. although supply chains could be re-established within a week, it forced the war into a stalemate as the fuel-hungry Empire warships had to stop advancing to conserve enough fuel to fight. this gave the coalition time to prepare defenses.
by the time fuel was being delivered to the warships again, the defenses were already in place, keeping the stalemate going for even longer. one day, Human forces managed to capture a Precursor fighter. even for a fighter, its technology was so advanced the far superior Zythyn Empire still learned things from it. after employing much of the fighter's technology, the coalition began to push back the Empires, liberating Evalrion and finally destroying the Empires in a battle over the Empire homeworld known as The Great Battle Of 9953. the two empires were wiped out in the war.
