Gris is a ruined world, a once barren but habitable colony of the Naxiilos Republic. It was turned into its current state by forces from Commonwealth of Golr're, as they decided that lethal action was necessary. Gris was named after an ancient Aegyn word for grey, in reference to the grey colour of the ice on its nightside. Nowadays, the name makes no sense but tradition dictates that it must not be changed.
Destruction
Gris was the first major casualty of the Succession of Tarmalyula. At the time it was a lush, tidally-locked prosperous colony of the Naxiilos Republic. The Commonwealth of Golr're spared a million battleships and sent them to hover at the edge of the Jaune system. They fired their lasers at Gris itself, slowly liquifying the surface. All life on the planet was roasted, and the rocks themselves were melted.
Gris was no more.

Moons
Currently, Gris has no moons. However, Gris had two minor asteroidal moons previously orbiting it, named Emoal and Ratarat. They were both scarcely colonised mostly mining colonies. They have both been vaporised by the intense heat coming off Jaune.
Population
Gris was a minor colony world, with only a few million scattered around its temperate zone. They were condensed into two main cities, Mani-Loa and Eoquaalu. They were the metropolis' of the world, holding the spaceports and commercial and industrial sectors of the planet.
