Overview

Project Hail Mary is an alleged program headed by the United Nations and constituient members to create a system to defend against "Extraterrestrial, Extraordinary or Existential threats, within or outside of Sol system space."

Project Hail mary is shrouded in mystery and is still apparently classified to the public, leaked information suggests it is some sort of automated system or incredibly large superweapon designed to kill and/or dispatch certain threats deemed dangerous by the United Nations.

Leaked Information

In a set of USBs leaked in the UN computer system comrpomisation that took place in 2299, it was revealed that Hail Mary was indeed some sort of weapon, however no further information was recovered or leaked before the perpetrator was trialed for treason.

Overview

Project Hail Mary is a Singularity Level Ultraintelligence developed to counter existential threats by precalculations and near-perfect forecasting to provide a boundless strategic and tactical advantage over said hypothetical enemy. Hail mary is powered by quantum computing and is split in two, one unit is located within a station blacksite located in a ██████████████ orbital configuration around Earth's L-3 Lagrange point. The other unit is located on ████████████ of the Westartica Blacksite, located underground in the Transantarctic Mountains.

Hail Mary is headed by the United Nations Global Research Intiative and the Intersolar Intelligence Agency (2IA). Hail Mary as a project would be commisioned in 2281 by 2IA after statistical analysis suggested ████████████ and associated factors may pose a threat to Humanity in the near future. No such " ███████ " theat has been detected or is known about as of 2331.

Nature

Project Hail Mary is currently referred to in its two halves. Code: Amaranth and Code: Calaite. They are interlinked but differ only in locations and sometimes responses. It is noted that Amaranth itself as an entity has become much more foreign than Calaite with Amaranth displaying a much more esoteric output compared to Calaite.

Both "Artificial Ultraintelligences" currently operate at a small percentage of their true capacity. This is to prevent ████████ and ██████████ incidents. They may not be sent to full capacity unless cleared by the Secretary General and most of the General Assembly of the United Nations.

Both sites maintain pairity between the models via a advanced system codenamed "Smoothcast" which involves obsturing vital encrypted information over "musical" or "audio" channels. Usually on the 90ghz-95ghz band. "Smoothcast" is further improved by various nested relay sattilites holding decryption keys for all vital information. This allows Project Hail Mary to initate almost petabit transfer speeds over vast distances.
