Haemeeni’ne

Haemeeni’ne is a rocky planet, the third one orbiting the star Polaris. It is the homeworld of the Vespermytines and one of two life-bearing planets in it's system along with Hedoreton.

History

Haemeeni'ne was isolated from galactic society for a long time, being blocked from communicating any species but the Nasicophians due to their star's unique composition and the mineral rich planet Semab I, being a hot spot for Open Space Machine-Lifeforms to feed, meant that any ships trying to enter or exit the system would be preyed upon.

The planet is currently experiencing an Ice Age.

Geography

Haemeeni’ne is dominated by Riparian and Littoral habitats.

Sapient Races

Vespermytines are bat-like creatures that evolved from fish-eating predators. They are skilled flyers and swimmers.

Wildlife

Blizzard Swooper - Large chiropteran predators that hunt under the cover of snowstorms. They are blind but have echolocative and heat-sensing abilities. can raise their body temperature to over 200 degrees Fahrenheit to prevent their extremities from freezing.
Creep - A flightless predator with an uncannily human-like appearance they can often be seen peering into the windows of homes, looking for prey.
Great Glacial Strigoid - Huge four-winged predators that resemble owls. They are the top predators on the planet's tundras and ice sheets.
Frost Angel - Flying creatures found across the planet, living in large groups. They soar on the wind feeding upon sea creatures and smaller flying creatures
