Amaranth Legacy has a multitude of options and preferences available at your disposal. This page will guide you through all of them.

UI (user interface)

Disable the sticky header at the top of pages

This disables the sticky header which appears when you scroll down on a page.

The aforementioned sticky header, shown at the top of a page.

This prevents the Scope from hiding the disambiguated page's parentheses.

For example, Dragons (Chromagaia) normally shows as Dragons. This gadget reverts that when the page loads.

Citizen: Disable collapsing sections in the table of contents sidebar

This disables the ability to collapse sections in the table of contents.

Add a random page button to the sidebar

This only works on desktops, laptops and tablets.

This adds a button in the sidebar which brings you to a random page.

Add a random in-Scope page button to the sidebar

This only works on desktops, laptops and tablets.

This adds a button in the sidebar which brings you to a random page in the Scope you are currently within.

Add a recent changes dropdown to the sidebar

This only works on desktops, laptops and tablets.

This adds a button in the sidebar which shows the ten most recent edits.

Add a chat dropdown to the sidebar

This only works on desktops, laptops and tablets.

This adds a button in the sidebar which opens the Amaranth Legacy Chat, which allows you to communicate with other community members while you're writing.

Editing

Hide the section edit buttons

This hides the buttons next to section headers which allow you to edit that specific section.

Note: you may not see both buttons.

VisualEditor: Reload the page after making an edit

This forces the page to reload after editing a page.

If you have issues with the page being broken after you make an edit, turn this on.

CodeEditor: Persistent preferences

If you don't know what the code editor is, don't worry about this.

This allows for you to have persistent preferences in the code editor, such as the size of tab characters and the theme.

Viewing (reading)

Don't zoom when hovering over images

This disables the zoom when you hover your cursor over images.

The aforementioned zoom.
This is only useful if you are doing website maintenance.

When reading a page, ambiguous links (ones which go to a disambiguation page) will show (ambiguous link).

Use a scope-defined color for redlinks' text and underline them with a red dashed line

By default, redlinks (links which go to a nonexistent page) are shown as if they are normal text.

Turning this on makes it so that you can see the redlinks as a different color and with a dashed underline.

On the left is with this gadget enabled; on the right is with this gadget disabled.

By default, selflinks (links which go to a specific spot in the same page) are shown the same as normal links.

Turning this on makes it so that you can see the selflinks with a dotted underline.

Add the count of pages in a category and its groups

This adds the amount of pages in a category and under each letter when reading a category page.

Prepend "Content: " before content categories

Content categories have no prefix. If the lack of a prefix for content categories bothers you, enable this.

Limit infobox width to 250px and force infobox fields to only use one column

If you prefer for infoboxes to be a single column, enable this.
