The Imperial People's Commonwealth of the Cemyak Nations is a powerful nation located in the Via Aylathiya galaxy. It is composed of many Kingdoms, Republics, Autonomous Republics, Worlds, States, Counties, Cities, Wards, Towns, and Villages.
Following the conclusion of the bloody civil war which came as a result of The Great Reaction, the old Combine was dissolved. In its place, the former leader, Maxxo, formed a new nation based in a form of governance never before seen. The new government was structured on an idea of meritocracy and collectivism. Those who contribute the most are the ones to govern, with an elected Emperor at the top. Individual property ownership was abolished, replaced by corporations known as Noble Houses. Noble Houses can be joined by anyone and act as worker co-operatives and are the main structure for Cemyak industrial governance. However, only the heads of Noble Houses may engage in matters of governance outside of industry. In addition to this, there is also an estate system in which individuals may move ranks based on merit and ability.
The Imperial Commonwealth has one of the highest energy consumption rates of any civilization in the galaxy. This is due to the vast amount of machinery and technology that is operated all across the Empire. One of the largest of these is a planet-wide R&D lab called R Lab 26. R Lab 26 is home to much of the technological advancements made by the Cemyak civilization. Science and technology are one the Empire's biggest boasts, and both play critical roles in all aspects of everyday life.
Having formed from the previous manifestation of Cemyak civilization (Democratic Combine of Cemyak), the new civilization surprisingly has almost no vestiges left of the old society. It has been many thousands of years since The Great Reaction concluded, and the population has gotten far used to the current ways of life.
