Ja-hookump

The Ja-hookump, Also known as Jaukump, Mer-Shrimps or just Shrimps, are race of semi-aquatic, radially symmetric, sophont beings that live on an ocean covered moon that orbits a gas giant. It took them a while to develop their civilization and technology, 9 million years according to them. Thanks to trade and other species' industry, their technology has dramatically jumped ahead. Allowing them to develop from a Medieval level of technology to a level of technology similar to that of 21st Century Earth
