Description

The Janus Network is a network of labyrinthine naturally occurring wormholes spanning all across Ambrosia , made up of thousands of individual wormholes known as "Gateways." It has played a pivotal and essential role in the advancement of numerous Ambrosian civilizations and species, allowing them to traverse the universe very easily.

The Janus Network is one of the most ubiquitous forces within Ambrosia, being as common to the galaxy as starlight, and as a result, it has been known to nearly every civilization and species that advances to the wider cosmic stage. It stands as the most pivotal and essential force in terms of the development of a group, as it has allowed numerous species and civilizations to advance much quicker than they otherwise would have, allowing them to be able to spread their influence over a wider portion of Ambrosian space.

Layout and Dimensions

File:Haven gate.png

As the Janus Network spans across the entire length of Ambrosia, the exact diameter, length and dimension of each gateway that makes up vary widely from each other, with some only spanning a few light-years, to others linking across galactic neighborhoods, while others are so small they may only link a few nanometers. Each gateway is layered in a specific way across the plane of the galaxy, with many interconnecting and crossing within each other in a labyrinth pattern.

Due to this, the exact layout and number of individual gateways has remained a mystery to all civilizations across Ambrosia's history, with the more modern civilizations placing the exact number at around fifteen trillion individual wormholes, though this is not certain.

A fairly unique trait of each gateway that makes up the network is the exclusive color, pattern and appearance each respective gateway will take, with no two known networks looking identical to each other. There doesn't seem to be an exact reason why this is the case, but it has allowed various civilizations the ability to navigate them with more ease, as the respective appearance clues whomever is traversing the network which exact gateway they are currently located within.

Manipulation

The Janus Network can be fairly easily manipulated by an intelligent individual(s) by emitting a large amount of energy to warp space in a specific, spherical bubble around an opening of some sort through the use of exotic matter. Once the energy reaches its apotheosis, the respective individual(s) will then have to keep a steady amount of force around the opening, then hastily send whom, or whatever they wish into the opened Gateway. Once within it, the object in question will almost instantaneously exit the gateway at the exact exit point that the respective gateway leads to. Once an object is within the gateway, no known force can stop said object until' it reaches the other side, in a force much akin to that of black holes.
