Overview

Jewel of Joves is a O-Neill cylinder constructed from 2282-2309 in orbit of Ganymede by the Jovian Commonwealth, it is 10km long and 1.4km wide, with 3 large windows that give way to mirrors designed to reflect the little sunlight out there into its city complexes.

It his home to almost 600000 residents and is projected to be able to hold more.

History

The initial concept of Jewel of Joves was created after the Jovian wars (2256-2257), as a propoganda tool and a home for Callistan refugees after the Nuking of Callisto. This culminated in the Jewel-of-Joves O-Neill proposal finalised in 2276, with materials allocated and its slow assemblage starting in early 2282.
