Overview

The Jovian Liberationists were a former faction that existed from 2193-2257. They were centered around the Jovian moon of Himalia and followed and promoted the ideology "Decentralism".

They consisted of 5 moons at its peak claiming the Callistan backed Republic of Themisto.

The Jovian Liberation Front would be disbanded after gigaton nuking of Himalia and subsiquent armistice signed February 14th 2257 after its final leader, Senna Eveline was killed in the gigaton strike on Himalia.

History

Proclimation - 2193

The Jovian Liberation Front would proclaim itself independent in 2193 with its 5 constituent moons, following the ideals of Dr. Wei Zhao, a physicist born on mars disgruntled with the fact mars was a constant battleground for both OUN and NUN interests. This "fourth Axis" would quickly found similar but smaller movements on many planets following Decentralism.

Jovian Federation disputing - 2200-....

The creation of the Jovian Liberation Front in response to a young Jovian Federation would cause turmoil as the Jovian Liberation Front denounced the legitimacy of the Federation, many inflamitory comments from leaders would spread but Federation politicians would dismiss these attacks.

The End of the Jovian Liberation Front - 2257

Intense fighting would take place with no clear winner, Himalia not having enough troops to truly attack the Jovian Federation, and the Jovian Federation refusing to take any further action.

However this quick stalemate would end in January 2257 with a suprise attack of Ganymede orbital installations by terroist cells implanted by the Jovian Liberationists, the following month authorisation of a gigaton nuclear strike on Himalia was authorised with the moon being hit on 14th of Feburary, 2257, causing the remaining moons to surrender and a armistice be signed with the remaining Jovian Liberationists hours after the shattering of Himalia. Fully disbanding them and integrating the remaining moons into the Jovian Federation (Soon-to-be Jovian Commonwealth.)
