"THE RIVER OF LIGHTS TOWARDS DISTANT WORLDS"
TIMELINE

This article takes place in the 26th century of Distant Worlds.

The Kentara System is a larger-than-average star system situated around the brown dwarf of Kentara, which is positioned right next to the Cooper's Star, the new home system of ExoBioLabs Group under United Sol Command control. As of today, the Kentara System remains largely uncolonized, with Kryso as an exception. Numerous small settlements exist on surface, primarily for laboratories and research of Kryso's universaly young age.

The Kentara System's central star is a small Class T0.4 V Brown Dwarf named Kentara. This brown dwarf is misicule, measuring 86 thousand kilometers in diameter, and having a temperature of 1395 K. The Kentara System is composed of two different regions, called the Inner Kentara Domain, and the Kentara Outskirts.

The Inner Kentara System is composed of 5 planets. They are named; Kryso, Kentia, Karten, Pyxon and Lysia. An highly dense and resource-rich asteroid belt called Ring of Kentara seperates the Inner and Outer Kentara System. Kentaran Outskirts, compared to the Inner Kentara System, only contains two planets, are; Pailia and Xentura.

Kryso
Brief Description

Kryso is the first planet in the Kentara System, situated at a distance of approximately two million kilometers from the primary star of Kentara. Due to its closeness to Kentara, it has a survivable temperature to most carbon-based life, and thus is potential for life in it's deeper seas.

Many of the first settlements on Kryso have been turned into fully functioning laboratories, some of which go on for more than a hundred meters. Kryso's extremely mountainous terrain has made it an unlikely place for large-scale habitation. The capital of Kryso, Selpar City, spans nearly a hundred meters in diameter, and is situated on an unusually flat region of the planet.

Kentia
Brief Description

Kentia is the second planetary body from the small brown dwarf of Kentara. Kentia, like Kryso, features liquid seas, however they are utterly devoid of any visible life and made entirely of liquid nitrogen. Kentia is totally engulfed by a thick layer of nitrogen-based clouds, which has the unintended consequence of completely covering the planet's surface. Kentia's liquid nitrogen seas at first were undetected from Cooper's Star.

Kentia's landscape is extremely mountainous, much more so than Kryso's, and it is considerably more difficult to traverse. Kentia has remained uncolonized as a consequence since its discovery. Despite this, a number of megaships orbit Kentia. The USC Kentia dar Kresovets, the largest of them, is largely utilized for residence as well as various small starship services like repairing and refueling.

Karten
Brief Description

Karten is the third planetary object from the miniscule brown dwarf of Kentara. Karten is a semi-habitable rocky planet, shrouded by a relatively thick and high-pressure nitrogen atmosphere. The temperature of Karten is the second most hospitable, being only minus twelve degrees. This effect is one of the many side-effects of Karten's high greenhouse effect. Similarly to Kentia, the tremendous seas of Karten are composed of liquid nitrogen.

Small and pools of liquid water are also rarely found on the relatively flat surface of Karten. These pools of water are the primary harbingers of usable water on Karten. Sometimes, these pools of liquid water can be as large as some of the largest lakes on Jaanus in Aboriya.

Pyxon
Brief Description

Pyxon is the fourth planet from Kentara. Pyxon is a gas giant planet, with an atmosphere composed mainly of hydrogen, helium and ammonia, with trace amounts of other elements found. As a gas giant, Pyxon has a fairly large selection of moons, two of which are spherical. These are Pealer and Pailer. Pealer is a fairly small icy world with subglacial oceans, while the latter is a small light-green ice giant.

In the past, many deep-dive missions inside the clouds of Pyxon were conduced. Numerous pieces of knowledge have been unlocked by these missions. One of these discoveries is the discovery of Glide Planktons, small carbon-based microscopic organisms that reside within the upper clouds of Pyxon, Same Glide Planktons were first observed inside Marie Gas Giant.

Lysia

Brief Description

Lysia is the fifth planetary body of the Kentara System, and considered to be the last world of the Inner Kentara System. Lysia is a very massive gas giant and the second largest planet in the Kentara System. Lysia's atmosphere is fairly similar to Pyxson's, however, contains far more ammonia clouds that the former. Lysia is in a dual-planet orbit with it's sister gas giant of Kysia. While both planets orbit a common barycenter, Lysia is the dominant one of the gas giants.
