Template:InfoboxPlanetKepler 186e is a warm tidally locked E-class exoplanet orbiting the red dwarf star Kepler 186 in the constellation Cygnus.
Overview
It was discovered in 2014 by the Kepler telescope and was widely believed to be a desert world. However, this was not the case as a probe that was sent there in 2400s revealed the planet to be a warm Earth -like planet with a constant hurricane on the daytime side.
Colonization
It was colonized in 2561 with the first colony being New Leaf that was established in a region with a temperature of 10 °C.
New Leaf first started out as a simple domed colony however when the planet was fully terraformed, the dome was removed and it went from being a small town to a thriving utopian city.
A second colony known as Gregor's landing (named after its founder) was built in a more warmer region of the planet and had a dome with a controlled temperature of 17 °C.
After Kepler 186e was terraformed, many more colonies were built due to the planet being cooled down and the atmosphere now being safe to breathe.
