This content is a part of Borealis Universe.

Kepler 186f is an exoplanet orbiting the red dwarf star Kepler 186 in the constellation Cygnus.

Overview

It was discovered in 2014 by the Kepler space telescope and was considered a candidate for extraterrestrial life by Human astronomers in the 21st century.

Environment

Despite Humans thinking of it as an Earth-like world, that was not the case. A probe that was sent there in the 2400s revealed that it is a lifeless desert world similar to Mars. Despite this, the Federations of United Star Systems has already established a few colonies there and has already terraformed it.
