The Kingdom of Rolam is a monarchy located in the Lance Galaxies Halo. It names all its worlds Rolam I, Rolam II, Rolam X, Rolam XV and so on, so as to preserve the memory of its destroyed homeworld, Rolam Originalis.
History
The Kingdom of Rolam was founded by the Klifca, a species that evolved on the world of Rolam, as it was called at the time. The built up a tiny star nation with the advent of the FTL drive, with one colony, Erletec, now known as Rolam I.
But, at the time of their expansion, the Lance Galaxy was in a state of war between the two main powers in the galaxy, both extinct. One was a hive mind, bent on assimilating the entire galaxy or destroying it, the other, a machine intelligence that had overpowered its owners, and imprisoned them in a state of perpetual bliss. Both were against the idea of free will, both hated the guts of the other and those who have free will.
