Laura Correia
Exposed to a strange mutagenic ooze while on a school field alongside four other students, Laura Correia was mutated from a normal high senior into a mutant anthropomorphic variant of an Anhanguera. Taken in by DeinonyCorps scientist Zet Langston to try and reverse the mutation. However the treatment went wrong and the mutation excelerated allowing her to shift not only from human to mutated form, but to shift into a full-sized Anhanguera After a mutated sea cucumber attacked the DeinonyCorps building, Laura (somewhat begrudgingly) and her classmates rushed to help, protecting the civilians in and around the building, forming a team they were able to kill the terrorizing echinoderm. Their work did not go unnoticed, as CEO Victor Veloci was quite impressed by their show of strength and teamwork, and concerned by the prospect of the primordial ooze creating more powerful mutants he elected to form the DinoForce to combat and contain these dangers and to otherwise protect the city of Orca Point from an ever more dangerous world. Laura and her teammates would be the primary members of this new team, so he allowed them to stay at the HQ and would help her learn to control her newfound powers.
Physical Appearance
As a Human Laura is a short, frail Latina, with long black hair that grows down to the middle of her back. She has brown eyes and often uses a lot of makeup.
As a Pterosaur she inherited a coat of glaucous, grey, white and black pycnofibres that cover her entire body except her jaws which are colored red and orange-yellow with hints of blue and green.
History
Laura was born on a windy day in October, she was premature and underweight and had to be immediately sent to an incubator. Her father, Miguel Correia, was absent from the event.
At the age of six, Laura's mother died due to cancer
Personality
Quiet and reserved, but desperately trying to find a way to spread her wings (figuratively), once she obtained literal wings to spread she soon let her adventurous and rebellious side emerge a little. Having grown up in an abusive home, Laura has a lot of trauma often resulting in her keeping to herself and remaining in the background. Ever since her mutation, Laura has felt more comfortable as her pterosaur self and very rarely returns to human form when it isn’t necessary. She loves the freedom of flight and often takes evening flights over the city or even the ocean. She also enjoys videogames, fanfiction, anime, manga and old monster movies.
As Laura comes out of her shell, she reveals her true nature as that of woman who is fiercely loyal to her friends, courageous and compassionate. She’s still an introvert tho, so don’t bother her when she’s trying to play video games or watch her favorite streamers…

- Laura is descended from the Accala people of the Lost World Plateau on her mother's side. These people worship the plateau's native pterosaurs as emissaries of their god of the sky.
