From Amaranth Legacy, available at amaranth-legacy.community

Dance, O Freest Aeon
This content is a part of Cosmoria.

Essential Vocabulary

Cosmoria
The entire universe or the galaxy of one hundred stars in its center. "Outside of Cosmoria" means outside the galaxy, not the universe.
Noosphere
The realm in which all thoughts occur and minds exist.
Hylisphere
The realm in which all quanta exist—atoms, photons, neutrinos, etc. The physical universe. Sometimes referred to as "Cosmoria."
Ousic
Of or related to the Noosphere. Anything made of ideals, forms, or concepts, including consciousness.
Sarkic
Of or related to the Hylisphere or physical universe. Anything made of quantum particles such as atoms, photons, neutrinos, etc.
Thaumaturgy
The art of manipulating consciousness to allow Noospheric energy to flow into the universe.
Magi (Magus)
A user of Thaumaturgy or magic.
Spirit
A free consciousness not bound by a brain. Often potent users of Thaumaturgy.

Science and Physics

Six Fundamental Forces
The laws that bind the universe. There are six fundamental forces—Gravity, Electromagnetism, Weak Force, Strong Force, Thaumic Force, and Metapotential. The first four forces mirror those in real life but with key differences.
Gravity in Cosmoria behaves normally until a few astronomical units away, suddenly decreasing in strength much faster. This causes most stars to bunch closer together and have fewer planets. Many stars are as far from one another as the sun and Pluto are, so advanced ship drives take only a few weeks to cross "interstellar space." For this same reason, black holes are far larger than they would be in real life. Only a few hundred solar masses is enough to create an object hundreds of solar radii in size.
Electromagnetism governs electric and magnetic fields. There are extra particles governing magnetism, called electrinos, which play an important role in Thaumaturgy.
The Strong and Weak force are identical to real life.
Thaumic Force governs the conversion between ousic and sarkic energy.
Metapotential exists solely in the Noosphere.
The Monad
The Monad is the only particle in the universe; all other particles are simply The Monad existing at different points in time. The Monad is thought to "dance" on an empty stage, hence Cosmoria's tagline "Dance, O Freest Aeon."
The rest of that refers to Cosmoria's lack of destiny (allowing for free will). An Aeon is a reference to the period (in this case, it means age), however, since the name "Monad" was inspired by Gnosticism, "Aeon" also means "emanation of the Monad," since Cosmoria is the result of the Monad's countless emanations.
Elements
Don't worry about using real-life element names or not, but there are alternate names for the elements for fun. We only renamed elements named after people and places. Plus, it lists the new fictional elements.
Psychography
The study of the composition and nature of minds. Psychographies vary between different societies.
Pneumasyllipsis
The process by which a spirit enters the brain of an individual or, sometimes, a machine. Can also refer to the practice of Shamanic Thaumaturgy.

Time Keeping and Units

Articles are assumed to be written in translation, so units from real life should be used for clarity.

Distance
Interstellar distances are usually measured in light-minutes in-universe, but any time unit is common. Remember that "astronomical unit" is meaningless in-universe, but it can be used in articles if you so choose. An astronomical unit is 8.3 light minutes, or how far light can travel in 8.3 minutes.
The speed of light is the same as our universe, creating signal delay on the order of months across the entire galaxy (remember, Cosmoria is very dense).
The galaxy is, thus, a bit more than three quadrillion meters across, or about a third of a light year.
An example for Cosmoria's satellites, Lowiras and Azurullya, place them at five and eighteen light-months from Cosmoria's center respectively.
Other Measurements
Metric is preferred, but if you are not familiar, use whatever units you are comfortable with. Online calculators can help with conversions as well. If you want maximum readability, you can even write something like "1m (3.28ft)" for measurements.
Some authors elect to avoid units named after people (Joules, Newtons, Watts, etc.) since those people never existed in-universe, but this is purely a stylistic choice.
Time
The current year is 10,000 CE. The common era is defined as the dawn (of the latest era) of interstellar civilization in the form of the Ectabana civilization. Articles not set in 10,000 should specify so. The last year in history is 12,012 CE as that is when The Monad self-annihilates.
Use days, months, years, decades, centuries, etc. to mean what they do in real life.
The original explanation was that some planet had the same properties as the Earth, but that is contrived.
Population
The current population of the universe is 2.1 trillion people.

Astrography

Galactic Arms
Cosmoria's three major arms, like continents, the civilizations residing in them are usually somewhat related or intertwined. They surround the Lux Aeterna—Cosmoria's center.
Aylathiya is dominated by magocracies, civilizations ruled by Magi. Notably the Greater Martial Consilium.
Florathel is the largest arm, in terms of star count, and its nations have formed the United Nations of Florathel to promote peace.
Zalanthium is an untamed place that, compared to the other two arms, remains underdeveloped.
The Lux Aeterna is a region of unstable, dreamlike space in the center of Cosmoria. Exists in both the Noosphere and Hylisphere as the realms interact with one another.
Extra-galactic bodies
Cosmoria, the galaxy, is not entirely alone.
Azurullya is a striking blue cluster of stars dominated by the Theocracy of Silverstar.
Lowiras is an isolated star cluster dominated by the Dark Core.
