Lulu Knavermoore

Lulu Knavermoore is a wandering warlock that has a pact with Cain. She serves as one of the main overarching recurring characters throughout Gears and Rooks.

Background

Lulu hatched in the city of Rookroost in the Kingdom of Corvidia. Orphaned as a chick only a few days after her hatching, Lulu grew up in an orphanage, where she grew up lacking any sort of parental figure. When Lulu was 4 years old, the Great Pan-Continental War began. She saw many of the oldest orphans get drafted into the war to go serve both logistical and combat roles. Upon becoming a fledgling, Lulu; like many other Corvidian orphans, was made to be part of a press gang, tasked with drafting fellow citizens, as well as collecting 'donations' for the war effort.

Lulu luckily, was never drafted, as the war ended in defeat for the Primordian Entente, meaning defeat for the Kingdom of Corvidia as well. Lulu spent the next two years as a petty criminal on the streets of Rookroost, until she had gathered enough money to gain passage from Corvidia to the United Seraph Republic. On the voyage across the Inker Ocean, Lulu's eye was caught by a mysterious grimoire carrying man. She spent several days stalking the man, where she learned that this was a grimoire given to those who had a Warlock pact with the spirit of Cain; the first murderer. Lulu continued to watch the Warlock, until the opportune moment presented itself, and she was able to murder the warlock in his sleep. Upon opening the grimoire, Lulu found all the info she needed on how to conduct a ritual that would allow her to speak with Cain. Using the blood of the Warlock, Lulu drew the mark of Cain on the floor of Warlock's cabin, and sung Cain's chant, summoning him. Impressed by Lulu's ingenuity and ruthless efficiency, Cain agreed to a pact with Lulu, granting her the knowledge and abilities to practice dark magic. In return, Lulu would help Cain in collecting the souls of murderers and the murdered. Upon arrival in the Seraph Republic, Lulu set off to wander the lands with her newly-found life purpose.

Personality

Lulu is almost always calm and reserved, almost never raising her voice for any reason then to get someone's attention. Lulu is also very observant, being able to easily recognize patterns, as well as notice even slight changes in an individual or environment's demeanor. Lulu is also quite enigmatic, often leaving questions asked of her unanswered, as well as her tendency to speak in riddles. Despite her capacity for murder, and pact with Cain, Lulu herself is not necessarily evil, being more neutral. Lulu does have morals and values, seeing herself almost as an incarnate of death that is tailored to a very specific group of individuals.

Appearance

Lulu, like all other Corvidians, resembles and anthropomorphic corvid; specifically a rook in her case. Lulu is about 5'5 and ways only around 80 lbs, which is relatively typical of a Corvidian. Lulu's body is almost entirely black, with the exception of her beak, and the feathers surrounding it, which are a pale white. Typically, Lulu wears a black and red dress, and a straw hat that has been dyed black.
