Lumin
Lumin also colloquially known as Brightworld, is a Life-bearing Planet, habitable to humans. Lumin’s atmosphere is similar in composition to Earth’s. Lumin’s crust is incredibly abundant with White Phosphorus which while toxic to humans is essential to the native life who are immune.
Lumin’s lamdmasses are covered in bioluminescent rainforests and fungal swamps, the plants of which grow over any Brightworlder cities and structures. Lumin’s seas are full of extravagant reefs and are nearly choked with bioluminescent plankton which make pelagic zones glow brighter than many Earth cities.

Sapient Races
Luminites or Brightworlders are the only native sapient lifeforms, they are vaguely humanoid, though they posses long, thin tails, antennae and, as with all Luminarian life, are covered in bright bioluminescent markings. They are descended from animals that lived in the sea, as evident by their extremely large hands, evolved from flippers.
Wildlife
There is a wide variety of animal and plant life on Brightworld. Notable species include the Slurper, long tounged terrestrial insectivores that bear resemblance to Earth anteaters who have been domesticated by the Luminites, serving as friends and companions or doing special jobs, like dogs.
Walking Beach Whelks have similarly been domesticated, but they serve as livestock and are the staple diet for most people on the planet.
The Constellation Beast is a colossal open-ocean filter-feeders who can consume several tons of plankton in a single gulp, reaching over 250 feet in length, they are a distant relative of the Brightworlders.
The Luminocetes or Water Sisters are the closest evolutionary relatives to the Brightworlders and are easily the most revered and sacred animals on Brightworld. They fill the niches of both baleen and toothed whales on Earth. There are many species.
