Maashkinoozhe Lake
Maashkinoozhe Lake is a city in Northern Minnesota and is the sister city of Green City.
History
Maashkinoozhe Lake was originally home to Ojibwe (though the city still has a large Ojibwe population)
Geography
Maashkinoozhe Lake is built around the eponymous Maashkinoozhe Lake, a large freshwater lake known for its high population of Muskellunge.
The Maashkinoozhe Lake Eel-Whale is endemic to within the city limits
Areas of Interest
- Monty Finn Regional Park - This huge recreational park encompasses 90% of Maashkinoozhe Lake's shoreline. It is a place to fish, swim, hike and camp. There are a few protected nature areas within the park as well.
