Mimi Loony

Mimi Loony, better known by her alias Ms. Mime, is a mute student at the Kahurangi Institute, who has taken up the art of miming, due to it fitting with both her disability and powers. Mimi has a pet opossum named Pogo, which was genetically altered to live much longer than normal opossums.

Personality

Mimi has completely immersed herself in the mime persona. Mimi often acts very sillily or mischievously, frequently playing tricks on other students and staff. Mimi is very enigmatic and cryptic, both because of her mime persona, and her inability to vocally communicate with others. Typically Mimi performs mimed actions to portray what she is trying to get across to someone, but if it's urgent, or they're not understanding her, Mimi will just write down what she wants to say. Mimi has rarely ever used her powers to harm, despite her being more than capable of doing so. However, Mimi has vowed that she would not hold back in the event that the Institute and its inhabitants were to become endangered

Appearance

Mimi is pale and relatively thin. She almost always wears a typical mime outfit of a black-and-white striped shirt, black pants, a black beret, white facepaint, and black lipstick. Mimi is rarely seen without Pogo somewhere on or around her.

History

Mimi was born on March 22nd, 2004 in Thunder Bay, Ontario. Soon after birth, it became apparent to Mimi's family that she was mute. Mimi was discovered to be a deviant when she was four, when one day her father could clearly hear her throwing a rubber ball at the wall. He then asked Mimi to throw the ball at him, and when she did, her father felt a rubber ball bounce off him, despite nothing being there. When Mimi turned 14, her parents enrolled her in the Kahurangi institute, which was relatively near to Thunder bay. At the institute, Mimi was able to fully learn the extent of her mime-like abilities. Mimi's file lists her as one of the more powerful and potentially dangerous students at the Kahurangi Institute. Mimi however, is very adamant that she would never put the academy in danger. At some point after coming to the Kahuranghi Institute, Mimi was gifted an opossum that she named Pogo, who had been genetically altered to have a much longer lifespan than normal opossums.

Powers and Abilities

Powers:

Miming/Particle Manipulation - Mimi is capable of manipulating the speed, mass, trajectory, and density of air particles, allowing her to create simulate actual invisible objects, including weapons and explosions. She can also use this ability to create invisible barriers, as well as strong gusts of wind and even small tornadoes/whirlwinds.

Abilities:

Sign Language - Mimi knows ASL, though she rarely uses it, opting to use miming or text-to-speech to communicate instead.
Stealth - Mimi is naturally good at sneaking around unseen.

Trivia

Mimi is almost never seen without Pogo on or around her.
Mimi has a huge crush on Georgia Graysby, but she is too afraid to actually go up and interact with her.
