The Ministry is the dominant power in [[Galaxy of Aloth|Aloth]]. It is a republic with control over 78 percent of the galaxy. Its reach spans an estimated 3.19 billion star systems, 9.8 billion planetary objects, and 556 quintillion citizens over 9627 sentient species. It was formed from an early Yitlùm space corporation whose goal was to expand the species’ reach, but that goal shifted toward bringing peace and order to the galaxy when they discovered an ancient Sálens superstructure in a neighboring system and quickly became the most advanced species in the galaxy.

Now their technology is far greater than the Sálens’ ever was. They use their power to maximize quality of life, end disputes, and explore new stars and galaxies. Because of their size, they share borders with all other large independent nations. They are at peace with the Shilvint Group and the Kzaù Republic, they have a territorial dispute with the Ìlekipòtáau, and they are on the brink of war with the Bálxz Coalition over territory.

== Origins ==
When scientists on Verrid discovered life on the terrestrial planet Dar'en and the icy moon Bian in the same year, 7329 CE by human standards, it sparked a massive surge in space exploration leading to the first FTL warp drives only 90 years later. After successfully colonizing two new star systems, telescopes spotted an ancient superstructure from a civilization that fell a billion years ago. Missions were sent, and the Yitlùm were able to utilize the technology, gaining an enormous advantage compared to other emerging spacefarers.

Armed with new knowledge, the Yitlùm species truly united for the first time and set out colonizing dozens of planets every year. Due to their prior skill with bioengineering, they could alter their bodies to better fit new environments.

In 7488 CE, the Yitlùm encountered an intelligent species calling themselves the Gwérdh. After establishing communication, the Yitlùm agreed to give them technology in exchange for sharing their territory. This alliance was the basis for the Ministry of Aloth. As the Yitlùm continued to expand, with help from the Gwérth and other species they met along the way, a new age began in the galaxy's history.

== Government ==
The Ministry is divided into 277 zones. Each zone elects 10-50 members, depending on factors such as population, to serve on the High Council, dealing with issues of galactic importance. Each zone is considered largely independent, especially zones that originated as annexed nations, and is governed according to the specific needs of the inhabitants. Further divisions of government exist in most zones, due to large differences between planets.

== Culture ==
The main ideals of the Ministry are to create a system that maximizes peace throughout the galaxy, increase the standard of living through better technology, and discovery through exploration. That said, each of the numerous species has a unique culture given their backgrounds, and, once they realized how great their advantage was, the Yitlùm did their best to prevent loss of culture among them.

|Annverrid is a planet of historical importance. The name means "New Verrid" as it was the first planet considered suitable for habitation by the Yitlùm. It now functions primarily as an agricultural research planet, due to its interesting flora and good environment.

|Blayha is the capital and most populous city in the galaxy. It is a hub of business, culture, and government, with a population of over two trillion. It's in a binary system with the planet Benevér, another highly populated planet with an environment suitable for unaltered Yitlùm. Blayha is known for it's amazing sky, the view including intricate artificial structures, the planet Benevér, and a good view of the star cluster at the galactic center.
