Mothman

The Mothman is a winged, Humanoid, Mutant who was discovered in the TNT area West Virginia. It is currently contained by the Greene Foundation

History

Mothman is believed to have originated as a species Sphinx Moth before being mutated by ancient Primordial Ooze (found commonly in the TNT area), it is unknown to when this transformation occurred. The first documented Encounter with Humans was in 1966 when five Men working in a Burial site at Dusk spotted the creature from high in the Trees, with its Wings spread open before flying off into the Night. Ever since then, Various sightings have been reported, some hoax and some not but with the Moth man presence still noticeable.

Many have attempted to capture or photograph The Mothman but to little success, this includes The Cryptozoo Traders Global, which ended in the collapse of the Silver bridge. Currently The Creature is contained in Norman Lakes National Park where it is Given plenty of Food and seems to be under control, though it can be rowdy giving the circumstances.

Appearance

Mothman when upright stands at 6,7 feet tall with a wingspan of 13 feet. It's eyes shine reflective red with a Body covered in dark-brown Moth Fur. It's Limbs are three fingered and insectoid with larger insectoid legs giving it the ability to stand upright and perch. Unlike normal Moths, it lacks a Proboscis, instead having a Mouth more akin to a dragonfly, good for eating Flesh and Scavenging corpses. its Wings resemble the Carolina sphinx moth in appearance, and are more darkly colored then the rest of its body except on the underside where it's a Reflective light brown in coloration.

Abilities & Biology

Carnivorous, though it prefers to Scavenge, such as in Graveyards where it was discovered
Nocturnal: Blends in with the Night unless shined then easily noticed
Flight: Able to fly up to 100mph if necessary
Strength: Can easily Overpower most Creatures such as Humans
Pheromone Production: Those who Encounter Mothman often develop Anxiety and Paranoia for a time after

Trivia

Mothman isn't very intelligent, thus contempt with basic care such as food and space to crawl and hide. It also prefers to avoid other creatures and can be scared off if not in dire starvation.
