Pelamis

Pelamis is a habitable, life-bearing planet composed of several hundred, planets, moons and other bodies that had crashed and fused together in a freak accident during the formation of its solar system. Pelamis also features several hundred rings down its length and several thousand moons, all of which are habitable and life-bearing. For a time Pelamis was the capital of the Alliance of Planets, before warp drives were invented and other races were able to visit the planet, and upon realizing the drastic size difference between the native Pelamians and most other races, the capital was moved.

Pelamians - the Pelamians are actually a complex of 1,560,795 related and unrelated species native to Pelamis, with just about the only thing they share is their small size, equivalent to many Earth Insects.

Wildlife

Cat Beetle - Insect like-lifeforms that have been domesticated by the Pelamians. They are ferocious and intelligent carnivores that serve as companions and pest control for the Pelamians. They are less than 2 inches in length.
