Before the Aeno

Before the Aeno evolved on Phenho, it was a lush humid jungleworld. A species of treelike flora had come to dominate the environment. Although the trees of Phenho appear to be individual beings, they are all actually linked to each other through a complex root system. This implies, every tree on Phenho is made up of a larger collective known as the Floral Superorganism. With such a gargantuan organism, a sort of "intelligence" emerged. At the time this happened, Phenho was a rather lush jungle world, but the Superorganism preferred the cold, so over thousands of years, it altered the climate from a hot, humid place, to a more chilled temperature. Although this would eventually lead to it's downfall.

Industrialization

Now a serene boreal forestworld, the Aeno evolved into one of many ecological niches of Phenho. Other creatures of mist evolved as well, like the infamous Misthounds. Aeno underwent the standard ages of a civilization, stone, bronze, etc. Although there were no wars, as no weapon they could make at the time could destroy another Aeno.

Ecumenopolis

Today, Phenho is a thriving ecumenopolis, all traces of life gone, except for the Aeno. Towering buildings dominate the skyline, stretching out in every direction.
