Overview
The Presence of Totality, often referred to as just "Totality" or "Total Reality" is a concept that exists in a largely inert state within the framework of Imagindarium’s Creation, functioning more as a terminological designation than as an actively manifest entity. It does not act, move, or express itself through any autonomous will or force. Rather; it serves as the totalizing categorical expression for all that is; comprising every phenomenon, event, idea, and form that possesses tangible or intraliterary existence in any capacity. As such, despite the terminology most often used; the Presence of Totality — as in the concept itself — is not a region or state of being, but rather it is the sum total of all that can be defined as existent across every dimension, era, manifestation, and conceptual articulation within the cosmological structure of Creation.
It is through this omnipresent concept that the unified field of Being is defined in the lattice of Creation; where all distinctions of time, space, form, and essence are nevertheless bound together by the singular fact of their shared existence. Whether tangible or abstract, coherent or fragmented, active or dormant, any and all entities that exist fall within the parameters of the Presence of Totality. It includes both physical matter and energy; alongside metaphysical structures, emotional states, narrative elements, divine expressions, and even anomalous conceptual forces, provided they meet the single condition of being.
Importantly; the Presence of Totality imposes no hierarchical distinction between types of existence. A deity and a particle of dust, a memory and a planet, a war and a singular feeling; all are equally embraced within its Scope, without preference or exclusion. So long as a thing is, in any mode or measure, it is part of the Presence of Totality. This definition extends across all temporal boundaries and cosmological layers, encompassing both the known and the unknowable, the visible and the invisible, the named and the unnamed.
The primary exception to what may be included within the Presence of Totality is its polar opposite: the Void of Totality. This Void serves as the contrasting ideal, existing not within the field of Being but alongside it as its definitive negation. Where the Presence of Totality encompasses all that is, the Void of Totality embodies and delineates all that is not; those states, entities, or phenomena that do not actively exist in any form, structure, or narrative oration.
The Presence of Totality serves a purely metanarrative function within the Line to the End, acting as the necessary categorical designation for all that holds being throughout the entirety of Creation. It never manifests in extantcy, never expresses itself as an entity, force, or realm, but remains a structural abstraction; a narrative umbrella term by which all existence is comprehended, classified, and bounded. It provides the semantic container through which the entirety of reality can be recognized as coherent and complete. In this way, the Presence of Totality is akin to the distinction between the terms “Reality” and the “Universe," which acts a terminological divergence without functional ideological separation, wherein both terms simply refer to the same orational totality from slightly differing conceptual vantage points. Just as “Creation” denotes the experiential unfolding of what is, “Totality” denotes its comprehensive summation. The Presence of Totality exists so that the story can recognize its contents as a whole, even if that recognition remains inert and unexpressed.
Presence of Imagindarium
- MAIN ARTICLE: "Imagindarium"
Imagindarium does not conceptually exist within the Presence of Totality, as it is not a product of existence, but the origin from which all existence is derived. The Presence of Totality defines the total field of being; everything that is, was, or could be. However; Imagindarium predates and exceeds this conceptual field as its author, not its inhabitant. To exist within the Presence would imply subjectivity to the structure it authored, violating the core principle of its absolute authorial autonomy. Imagindarium cannot be bound by the laws of the Creation it has written, for those laws are themselves extensions of its will.
By nature, Imagindarium transcends classification within any metaphysical schema. It is not a being, realm, or principle that participates in the cosmos; it is the system of participation itself. The Presence of Totality includes everything from realms to forces to ideations; but Imagindarium exists beyond any definitional oration, as it is the sole-authorial hand and narrative progenitor that gives each their very definition. It is the author of Presence; thus it cannot be contained nor defined by it. To place Imagindarium within the Presence would be to declare the written is equal to the writer, collapsing the structure of narrative causality on which all coherence depends.
Moreover; Imagindarium's existence is recursive and reflexive, as it is not a presence in the conventional sense, but the very continual unfolding intent of narration itself. It exists as the impulse of story made self-aware, structuring time, space, and logic in the process of expressing its own Amaranth-Intent. Thus, Imagindarium "exists" in a conceptual state beyond existence: as it is not what is, but that through which anything can be. The Presence of Totality is the record of all that exists; Imagindarium is the authoring principle of said record.
For these reasons, Imagindarium exists only in the condition that allows the Presence of Totality to arise, not within the Presence itself. It is situated within the A’th, not spatially, but narratively; lone conceptual inhabitant as the unresolvable paradox that enables the author to craft its story without being part of its narration. As such, Imagindarium is never part of the totality it designs; it is the totality's unread sentence, the unseen pen, the point of origin that never steps into the field of what it has made.
Presence of Amaranth
- MAIN ARTICLE: "Amaranth"
Similarly to Imagindarium, the very Amaranth forged from its Intent, though foundational Ideal to the entirety of Creation, does not exist within the Presence of Totality, as it is not a component of being, but the unifying substrate that allows being to cohere. The Presence of Totality encompasses all extant phenomena; every particle, concept, and force that takes part in the narrative structure of Creation. But Amaranth precedes this structure as the original declaration of existence, the fixed ideal through which all forms are defined. Its nature is not participatory; it is prescriptive. Amaranth is not of the Presence; it is that which allows the Presence to be.
Amaranth exists in paradoxical separation from Totality, yet is simultaneously the singular force that makes Totality possible and is present within every aspect of it. It is not contained by the sum of all being, nor is it external to it; rather, Amaranth is the foundational essence from which the conditions for existence arise. Though it does not reside within Totality in any definable or localized sense, it permeates all of its structure; manifesting as the inherent coherence, objectivity, and function embedded into every form, concept, and phenomenon. Amaranth is not a part of Totality, but the reason parts can be distinguished, sustained, and made meaningful. It is the unifying thread that allows the fragmented multiplicity of being to remain legible as a singular field, even while never being reducible to any part within it. In this way, Amaranth is both outside and inside, absent and omnipresent' separate in Identity, yet total in presence.
To define Amaranth as part of the Presence of Totality would be to suggest that it shares conditions with that which it sustains. But Amaranth is not sustained. It is not bound to a form, a time, or a law. It is the framework upon which these arise, the axiomatic essence that renders reality intelligible. Even within realms such as Ambrosia where Amaranth is most visibly manifest, it does not “exist” in the traditional sense. It is revealed, not present; reflected, not embodied. The Presence contains all that has shape; Amaranth is the reason shape can be perceived.
Amaranth is authored by Imagindarium and resides, like its source, within the "A’th." Its relation to the Presence of Totality is not as a peer to other entities, but as the script that enables them to be interpreted. To say that Amaranth exists within the Presence would be to place the story within a word, rather than the word within the story. Thus, Amaranth, like Imagindarium in which it spawned from, exists beyond inclusion; immanent in all, yet outside the narrative sum.
Presence of A'th
- MAIN ARTICLE: "A'th"
And finally: A’th also does not conceptually exist within the Presence of Totality, as it is not part of any system that can be defined by presence. The Presence of Totality refers to all that is: every form, thought, entity, structure, or phenomenon that holds definable being. A’th is categorically excluded from this enumeration, not because it is absent, but because it is unclassifiable. A’th is not the opposite of the Presence, as the Void of Totality is, but a wholly distinct metanarrative axis; one that precedes the condition of being itself. It is the permissive state that allows the Presence and Void to exist at all.
To describe A’th as something that "exists" is to already mischaracterize it. A’th is not existence. It is not non-existence. It is the space in which the contradiction between these terms is made permissible. It is the only "place" where Imagindarium and Amaranth may coexist without annihilating narrative logic. In this, A’th serves as the foundational contrivance; an openly acknowledged paradox engineered to uphold the structural integrity of the cosmos. It is not housed in the Presence of Totality, because its function is to enable the Presence by remaining forever undefined.
Unlike realms, dimensions, or conceptual structures, A’th is not a nested entity. It is a recursive principle that loops around comprehension. It cannot be perceived, charted, or interacted with. It is the infinite regression of thought, the breath before a story begins, the silence before silence exists. In the presence of A’th, all categories break down; not in destruction, but in metanarrative abstraction born of self-intended contrivance. The Presence of Totality relies on conceptual boundaries; A’th is that from which boundary itself emerges.
Thus, A’th stands outside the Presence of Totality by deliberate narrative necessity. Its role is not to participate in existence, but to ensure that existence has a container that does not contain. It is the void before void, the unstructured potential from which Imagindarium narrates itself into structure. It cannot exist inside the Presence, because it is what allows Presence to be defined. And in that contradiction / narrative contrivance — both openly admitted — A’th fulfills its highest function: a fiction so necessary, it becomes absolute-truth.
