God of Life, Light, Wisdom and Wind. Quetzalcoatl (or Quetz as he’s often referred to) currently lives on [[Earth (Strataverse)|Earth]] and serves humanity as a hero.

== History ==
Quetzalcoatl is one of the 4 sons of of Tonacatecuhtli and Tonacacihuatl, along with Huitzilopochtli, Xipe Totec, and his twin brother Xolotl. As a young god Quetz was tasked with presiding over the West Winds where he encountered the Aztec peoples and helped them by sharing his knowledge of arts, crafts, the wind and more. He wanted to help the people of Earth however he could and introduced them to the entire pantheon. Though he was warned against meddling in the affairs of mortals, to avoid the destruction of the current reality for arms long as possible, Quetzalcoatl was unswayed by the warnings and continued sharing knowledge with the people of Meso-America such as how to domesticate corn and chocolate, quickly becoming one of the most beloved gods among the people.

Upon learning of the previous destroyed realities, Quetzalcoatl ventured into Mictlan in order to retrieve the bones of the previous races that inhabited them hoping to imbue them with new life. But he was unaware his twin brother Xolotl had become jealous of his brother and conspired to destroy the people Quetzalcoatl loved so much, tricking him into becoming drunk on pulque (Agave Wine) locking him in a stone chest adorned in turquoise, and setting him on fire to trap him in the underworld. Trapped in Mictlan Quetzalcoatl was unable to help when Xolotl brought the Spanish to the New World in order to kill off the Aztecs.

Quetzalcoatl was eventually able to free himself, but upon hearing of what happened to the Aztecs resigned himself to Earth in order to protect the innocent inhabitants of the world from any evil. Upon arriving to Earth in modern day New Mexico, Quetzalcoatl quickly established himself as a hero, though not without alerting the [[Superpowered Response Department|SDR]] and having a few close run-ins with them.

Quetz is a part-time member of the [[Guardians of Earth]], always willing to lend a hand when his powers are needed.

* '''Wind Transformation''' - Quetzalcoatl can turn into a powerful gust of wind whenever he pleases.

== Trivia ==

* Quetzalcoatl is strongly opposed to human sacrifice.
* Quetzalcoatl loves modern Mexican food, and knows all the best spots throughout the Southwest US and Mexico and will eagerly share with whoever he can convince to come with him.
** He also rarely lets someone dine with him without letting them know he gifted humanity corn and chocolate.
